Are spells like teleport or dimension door considered moving away for effects like step up?

Rules Questions

Or mythich step up/following step?

If the wizard casts defensively dimesnion door, could i than use following step to move to his location?

I don't know about Mythic, but Step Up, Following Step, and Step Up and Strike only trigger if your opponent takes a 5 foot step away from you.

Spells like Dimension Door and Teleport don't make you move, they make you stop being in one place and start being in another place. You could move your movement speed and then legally cast either spell because they don't cause you to move any part of your movement speed.

Shadow Lodge

Teleporting, in game terms, isn't considered "movement".

Unlike walking, running, flying, climbing, swimming or burrowing (I think that's all of them).

There's also crawling =)

(there's even a Rogue Talent that lets you 5 foot step while crawling)

Another sad example of a Rogue Talent being at best as good as a Feat.

The guys are right. Step up, following step or mythic step up would not be triggered by dimension door or teleport. But even if they did, all three feats only allow you to make this movement if you can end up adjacent to the target that triggered the ability and you in fact have to move adjacent to the target. If you cannot live up to that for some reason then you can't use any of the feats.
