Hello.
I was looking at the Monk class (specifically the Flurry of Blows), and I noticed at in the description, it says that you get a second extra attack at 8th level, as with Improved Two Weapon Fighting. I also noticed that you get a third Flurry of Blows attack bonus at level 6, as shown on the class table (3-10 in the Core).
Does this mean you get a 3rd attack at level 6 while Flurrying? If so, why state a second attack at 8th level?
If someone could clarify, I would appreciate it.

Keep in mind, Flurry of Blows is a Full BAB much like a Fighters is. The only difference, is that FoB already has the -2 for TWF with Light Weapons factored INTO it so that you don't have to worry about including it during a fight.
For every 5 BAB, regardless of where your BAB starts, you get an extra attack for a full attack action.
At levels 1, 8, and 15, you get an extra attack from TWF, or in this case FoB.
At level 1, you have your first attack for merely existing, and one extra from TWF, or FoB in this case. It still increases by 5 BAB, and gains another iterative attack for that at level 6. Then at level 8, you gain another attack from TWF, or FoB in this case. At level 11, you gain yet another iterative attack. Then at 15, you gain your last extra attack from TWF, or FoB in this case. At 16 you get yet another attack due to increasing your FBAB another +5.
