Ablative barrier and healing?

Rules Questions

I couldn't find a post about this and it's been bothering me.

So I know that Ablative Barrier converts the first 5 damage to nonlethal and dispels after converting 5 x caster level. But when I'm healed does that reset the damage taken on the barrier? For example, say I'm a 6th level caster and I've been hit for 10 damage and 20 nonlethal, I get CLW and heal 9. Now I'm at 1 lethal and 11 nonlethal, does that mean the barrier can take another 19 points before being dispelled or the 10 it would have before I was healed?

The way I picture it, the barrier is being chipped away at (ablative) and the healing does nothing to affect it. Am I correct?

Healing does not in any way interact with ablative barrier. Recieving magical healing does not reset or heal up the barrier.

You and Claxon are correct, the barrier is getting chipped away. Healing you doesn't restore the barrier in any way.

Okay, thanks. Just wanted to make sure.

Yeah, that seems right. The big advantage is just that 5 points of healing will heal 5 *each* lethal and non-lethal.
