Reign of Winter's Time Period

Reign of Winter

Shadow Lodge

How many days has your party been chasing Baba Yaga for, both in-game and out?

What is the party currently doing? Have they taken any breaks along the way? At what points?

In Game:

Started 21st of Sarenith. Currently the 1st of Lamashan. So 103 days.

Out Game:

~7 months.

Shadow Lodge

Interesting; that's quite a bit longer than I anticipated. What is your party currently doing, and how focused have they been on their objective?

I should probably add that to the OP!

Grand Lodge

Our group was over 5 months, but much of that was crafting in between books as we prepared to face the next challenge.

Our group was always dedicated to helping Baba Yaga, but knew an unprepared group was a dead and would fail to prevent the eternal winter threatening us.

Since the purpose of our down time was to prepare for the next challange, our GM never activated the Mantle geas.

They've been very focused on the objective... up until Artrosa. After the first effort at The Three Who Watch, they found themselves significantly weakened, and spent time in Vurnirn recuperating, planning, and learning all they could about Iobaria. I also had two non-AP side quests to bring a 6 member (instead of 4) party in line with the XP expected.

I am pretty loose with using the Mantle to drive them on, tho. It does not make sense to force them into TPK-potential encounters before they are ready. Baba Yaga is brilliant and deeply wise - her geas would account for the need to grow in strength.
