I could see the DR 5/- stacking with the barbarian's DR, but not with DR from elemental body. (In part because of how shapeshifting overrides your Ex and Su properties with those of the new form).

As a compromise, perhaps the druid keeps DR 5/- when shapeshifting unless she pops into a form that has better (which then overrides).

I let it stack for the stalwart defender at my table; goes nicely with his dwarven plate too...

So, the big climax, the battle in the Inner Sanctum; am I alone in being confused about the tactics being Elvanna summons three elder ice elementals, and the slimy demodands summoning tarry demodands pretty much straight after the text mentions the whole demiplane being under a dimension lock?

Which should it be? I hand wave it that the vilains can but the heroes cant? The villains can't either? Or just drop the 'lock?

She's hijacking the place, so I'd allow her to do the summons.

Mmm, not sure. The spell doesn't make any exceptions for its caster. It can't be a product of the Crown, as Baba Yaga wouldn't give that sort of advantage to someone else...

Just for your amusement, I stumbled across this on tumblr and decided to make one for where my RoW group is right now...

Star Wars-style crawl for RoW book 6

Does anybody know which fairytale tells about Baba Yaga fighting the infernal crocodile? There is a 17th century picture about it on the internet, but not the fairytale itself.
Does anybody know whether Bremagyr is based on a fairytale or on a historical person?

Try this...

Thanks, but that is the one I already found. I guess this means that there is only a satirical picture, not a real fairytale. Perhaps I can invent one myself.

I'm pretty sure it's just the lubok. I was unable to find any actual folktale with this subject, so I'm fairly certain it's just the satirical print that exists.

Thank you. I can always invent my own legend of course.

The Giant Tapia Steppe Warriors attacks with their bows seem off to me. Bab 11 + 2 (dex) + 2 (mod) + 1 (weapon focus) - 1 (large) = 15 right? But they are listed at 12 or something. They do get penalties for riding if their mount double moves but not always. And the listed damage is too low to have deadly aim factored in isn't it? What am I missing?

They have +14/+9/+4. I think it is because they are huge, not large.

the Crown of Queen Bremagyr is described as having an overwhelming aura of evocation and worth 15,000gp but that seems to be all the description there is. If it has overwhelming magic then it should be an artifact shouldn't it? If it is it must be worth way more than 15,000gp and I'd need info on what it does. I had it dissolve along with the demon genie head in grandmothers cauldron when they dunked it. what was intended with the crown?

Maybe I'm mis-remembering, but I thought there was something preventing the PCs from leaving Grandmother's Cauldron and going back down into the hut. I can't find it now.
Does anyone know if I'm just imagining things? (My group is likely going to want to do some shopping before going to Buyan. I don't see a problem with them leaving so I'd probably allow it anyways.)

I'm only on book 1 now, but I wanted to get an understanding of Baba Yaga.

I've tried to work back all of her bonuses backwards to reveal her base stats.
Removing Mythic, magic items, wish spells, Human, age and level bonuses, I still end up with the below array and a 53 point buy.

What am I missing?

Bonuses
Str +5 (+5 wish)
Dex +5 (+5 wish)
con +11 (+5 wish) (+6 belt)
int +30 (human +2) (+3 age) (+10 mythic) (+5 wish) (+5 class)
wis +8 (+3 age) (+5 wish)
cha +14 (+3 age) (+6 headband) (+5 wish)

Baba Yaga's Abilities - Bonuses (Point Buy Cost)
Str 17 -5 = 12 (2)
Dex 20 -5 = 15 (7)
Con 26 -11 = 15 (7)
Int 46 -30 = 16 (10)
Wis 24 -8 = 16 (10)
Cha 32 -14 = 18 (17)

Point Buy
53/25

Am I calculating the Age bonus wrong? I thought it was 3x +1 for all three stages, but does Baga Yaga get a further +3 for going beyond Venerable age?

Thanks.

Advanced creature template.

Is it me or the Catoblepas is a kinda lame representation of Baba Yaga's fate? Seems thematicaly weak to me. Maybe I juste didn't get the idea

Does anybody has any idea of another monster/encounter I could use instead of the Catoblepas (kinda same CR)

Thanks guys
