Casting Haste on a Fast Zombie

Rules Questions

Per the core rules, in order to create a Fast Zombie you cast Haste on it during the creation. This becomes part of the creature (I.E. a permanent effect) so that it is not staggered.

Could you then cast Haste on it in combat?

Considering that they are already under the effects of a "Permanent" haste effect, I would say that by RAW, no. But as always, ask your GM.

The Exchange

Nothing in the fast zombie stat block says it is a haste effect. So they can stack.

...So then it'll be a Very Fast Zombie?

Undead cannot be Hasted, as Haste allows a fortitude save and doesn't work on objects.

You can also cast remove paralysis during creation, so it seems logical to me that a fast zombie could be hasted.

Ah, I missed that point. Then yes, you can Haste a fast zombie.
