You dorky undead are SOOO not hot! Fur shure! Now, if you were a buff, steamy sorcerer... that might cha-ange...

Hello ladies. I hear you are in need of someone handsome and buff such as myself. I will gladly join your party, if you'll have me. ;-)

The 90's just called they want their subculture back.

OMG! A DWARF! Those things are a-DORABLE! They can sniff out diamonds, rigtht?! Like those piggies that sniff out truffles?!

A look into Barbie's personality: she thinks of dwarves as poodles. She want to style their beard & hair as a rich girl might have done to their dog. For some reason, she also thinks dwarves are "cute". Go figure.

We used to get your crap cultural fads about 10 years after it was fashionable but now with globalization its instantaneous..Yay for the intarwebz.

First time I heard of a Valley Girl was in the early 90's on the Shadowrun Dumpshock Forum... Same sort of thing.

I think the 8th Dwarf was my handle on that one as well.

long time ago....

I do know two real Valley Girls - people who grew up in the Valley both of them professional working women and nothing like the stereotype.

Its funny when I asked them where they were from they both sighed and said the Valley... For the first one I said what Silicon Valley and she laughed then she did the Valley Girl thing...I went ah that movie with Alicia Silverstone...

Overturning the Myth of Valley Girl Speak

The Val' thing hit its peak in the States in 1982 with Frank and Moon Unit Zappa's song ("Valley Girl"), and the film Fast Times at Ridgemont High, followed a couple years later by the film Valley Girl, which happened to co-star a young Nick Cage.

Everything since has been just a joke of a joke of a joke.

Actually, Zappa INVENTED the joke, including inventing "gag me with a spoon". He was making the silly slang his daughter's friends were using and made it even more ridiculous. There was no "Val" thing before Zappa invented it. He also hated that his joke became the reality for a faddish bit.

Ok, so the researcher basically said everyone in SoCal talks like an idiot. Because, unless the person speaking happens to be from SoCal, NO ONE around here speaks in "upspeak".

I used to think that people with heavy Boston accents sounded not very smart. Lenny Bruce has a bit about being out manuvred (sp?) by a Southern prosecutor because the latter sounded like an idiot. [Shrugs]

It's, like, so subjective?
