Greater Overrun and Vicious Stomp; one AoO or two?

Rules Questions

For reference:

Greater Overrun wrote:
Whenever you overrun opponents, they provoke attacks of opportunity if they are knocked prone by your overrun.
Vicious Stomp wrote:
Whenever an opponent falls prone adjacent to you, that opponent provokes an attack of opportunity from you.
Trip FAQ wrote:
Yes, the two triggering acts are similar here but they are different. One occurs when you trip a foe. The other occurs when a foe falls prone. It requires a large number of feats to accomplish, but you can really pile on the attacks with this combination.

Thoughts? Rule quotes? I did a board search but didn't find the answer to this anywhere. If I have Vicious Stomp and knock a target prone with Greater Overrun, does he provoke twice or just once?

The Exchange

Two, same as with tripping

Another question:

When you knock a target prone with an overrun, at what point does the prone happen? While in their square? Before you pass through? After you've passed through?

The rules don't specify, but IMO, when you are in their square as that is the point at which you run into them and knock them off balance.

In practice it shouldn't matter which of the 3 it is except in the case of greater overrun when you don't have a reach of 5' (for example tiny creatures doing overrun on another tiny creature). In these cases it would need to be same square in order allow the overrunner to get the AoO granted by greater overrun, which is a large part of why my opinion is that it is the same square - not that I see many tiny creatures with the greater overrun feat...

The prone happens as soon as you see your Overrun succeed(by 5+their CMD).

"If your attack exceeds your opponent's CMD by 5 or more, you move through the target's space and the target is knocked prone."

It's safe to say, at that point, as soon as they fall prone, vicious stomp kicks in. RAW doesn't say when, so just go by what you would envision.

I would imagine they fall prone while you're in their square, as normally you cannot move through a square with someone currently standing in it. If they are prone however, you can actually stand on top of them, and that would make more sense . Whether you get an AoO before, within, or after your opponent's square, you still get that AoO as you are still adjacent during all of those points.
