Looking to build a good all around fun character for this campaign. I am looking at doing the paldin sacred shield route and was wondering what advice or help is out there for a build. My plan is to use the ability to make allies take 1/2 dmg when possible and also use the ability later on that grants allies ac bonus. My thought is to also take body guard and a few other feats and am seeking help in how to put it all together . I was thinking assimar as a race but make take human so I can get the extra feat . I appreciate any advice and help anyone has .. Thanks
The archetype you are talking about sacrifices a lot of the paladin's attack capabilities for some defenses (that aren't exactly stellar), the thing is that Jade Regent isn't that hard (in fact during the end it's easy) so the character could work, what kind of characters the rest of the party is thinking of making?

we have a good mix of experienced players who will be rogues, fighters, healers and casters of some sort . I tend to be the healer but this game someone else stepped in to fill that need to i am free to create .I am thinking of a viking(fighter)/sacred shield(paladin) version atm and am seeking opinions on how to properly build it . My concept is to be aasimar and take the scion of humanity racial trait they offer in exhange for daylight. Then have him be Ulfin and have tribal scars, intimidating prowess , toughness or power attack all at level 2 where we start out at. At level 3 take paladin level then fighter at 4 so each level i shall gain a feat and in the end be level 10 paladin/10 viking. I like that a viking gets to rage lol coupled with the paladins LOH ability with mercy fatigued . I also like being able to intimidate as a move action at 2nd level which imporves at lvl 10 is awesome . The sacred sheild paladin part will boilster my allies defenses and also allow me to have fun , all in all a fun char RP wise at least . I do need some opinions on feats to take etc so please help me out . My traits will be viking blood and probably childhood crush from the jade regent path. pls give me some advice and helpful hints . .thx
