Compensating for Low Saves

Advice

Grand Lodge

What are ways that you guys compensate for the low saves some characters are stuck with?

For example, my characters with low fortitude saves always have vials of antiplague and antitoxin on hand.

How do you guys deal with other low saves?

Silver Crusade

Cap of the Free Thinker for most will saves, and always getting as good of a cloak of resistance as possible. Taking a 2 level dip in paladin sometimes. Potions of Heroism can be relatively cheap and helpful. Luckstone is another favorite for a rare type of bonus...

Lots of ways.

Scarab Sages

Blanket immunity is the best way to go, but it's hard to get, and it sometimes required pre-planning.

Necklace of Adaptation gives blanket immunity to gas attacks.

Protection from elements works against one listed element - here, divination magic & knowledge skills will help a lot.

Scarab of protection defends against death magic.

Spell Turning prevents all rays and save-or-suck spells

I'm sure there are more, but I'm too tired to think of any right now.

Liberty's Edge

If you are playing a high charisma class, a few potions of Bestow Grace could really help. Aside from that, a +3 resist cloak is surprisingly cheap and very helpful!

I have recently found the Irrepressible trait to be potentially invaluable. It only works on charms and compulsion but that will cover a large number of the Will saves you are ever likely to make and it is often worth far more to you than any save boosting feat. My Oracle goes from a Will save of +7 against a Charm, Suggestion or Dominate to +15 because of it.

On the plus side it will also stack with a Bestow Grace of the Champion later on.
