So I am working on a wizard for PFS and I have some fun ideas but there was one that start around 9th level I found amusing and need help putting together.
The premise is to buy a suit of large adamantine full plate +1, then cast Possess Object on it. Now playing a small wizard (I recommend necklace of adaptation and ring of sustenance so you don't worry bout simple biological needs) you hide yourself in the breast plate portion under total cover and go.
So you would be walking around with hardness 22, Str 22 Dex 8, Con -, construct immunities. Throw on a belt of the weasel, a silent rod so you can cast some spells plus your Sp and Su.
How much would the armor cost?
Any other ideas on how to make it more interesting?

Possess Object specifies that you cannot speak or cast spells so a silent rod wont help you out. As such you don't seem to be able to use any spells at all while possessing the object. Magic Jar is a much better option.

can you cast spells while possessing the object?
. You cannot speak or cast spells while possessing the object.
I don't see a because in the clause, I see you can neither speak nor cast spells
I don't think silent spell gets around this.
I'd complain about ninjas... but 20 minute difference? dang

Would there be any way to utilize a UMD familiar or similar summoned creature to do the possessing on your behalf? If you have large armour you could fit both of you in the suit and still have room for a heatstone and a teaset.
Yes, your familiar could cast from a scroll. Your ac would be great due the super cover provided, but dm's may take control of familiar. This would leave you to only casting your nonsomatic spells.

So i can't cast spells, missed that clause. Animate objects says nonmagical so it would have to be nonmagical plate. Actually I will just have my familiar use a wand of mage armor and cast it on me. Since as an animated object you don't have an armor bonus you can just use the one from mage armor.
Wonder if i can use a Cracked Vibrant Purple Ioun stone to "cast" first level spells that my familiar puts in via wands?

This is a delightful idea.
I hate to open this can of worms, but isn't a suit of armor really collection of smaller objects that create a whole? Maybe I'm being too nitpicky here.
By that logic a teapot couldn't be animated because the lid is a separate part. And I know it can be done, I've seen Beauty and the Beast...
As for rules as written, the full plate armor object reads as follows:
The suit includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and a thick layer of padding that is worn underneath the armor. Each suit of full plate must be individually fitted to its owner by a master armorsmith, although a captured suit can be resized to fit a new owner at a cost of 200 to 800 (2d4×100) gold pieces.
The suit is one object. But why stop there; resize it for the larger persuasion for more elbow room.
It should be worth noting that a familiar serving tea shouldn't expect much in the way of conversation from either its master's corpse or the armor he is currently animating.
Also note, that even if the armor was made of adamantine, you won't be able to take advantage of that fact since only Colossal constructs will have enough CP to take advantage of that quality. Pick up Pathfinder 43: Haunting of Harrowstone to make it flawed.

If the familiar casts the spell, IT would be the one posessing the armor, not you.
