Hey guys! Standard character creation help thread.
Idea:
I have decided to make a crazy gnome who believes he is one of the horse riders of the apocalypse. As for the specific rider, I think that I might choose pestilence (pest-insolence), although he could also be interpreted as conquest. But hey, I'm not here to give you a religious lecture, you're here to help my build a character! At later levels, I would really like to use the Mammoth Rider archetype, mainly because that stuff looks fun as anything, charging through someone as a mad gnome on top of a massive Elephant screaming biblical lines sounds fun as s@!~. The levels leading up to that are probably going to be beastmaster, because mastodon.
Experience:
I've played pathfinder for about a year now, although I'm still a bit of a noob. I'm also quite confused as to how animal companions work.
Allowed materials:
PFS stuff, as I am playing PFS.
Campaign Details:
PFS.
Level: 1
Ability Generation: 20 point buy

The bonus to Cha leads nicely to the paladin class, just choose as your divine bond a mastodon. You will need to buy a mount for the first 4 lvls though, so this may not be what you are looking for (although buying a wolf is not a bad deal for the low lvls).
Alternatively, a beast rider cavalier with the order of the sword can start right from lvl 1 with a mastodon, and has the useful banner and order bonuses which are ideal for mounted combat.
For the cavalier:
Cavalier 9 / Mammoth Rider 1 / Cavalier 2
Str 15 (+1 at 4th, 8th and 12th lvls)
Dex 14
Con 16
Int 7
Wis 14
Cha 9
1 Mounted Combat
2 Paired Opportunists
3 Ride-By Attack
4
5 Spirited Charge
6 Power Attack
7 Furious Focus
8 Skill Focus (Ride)
9 Trick Riding, Outflank
10
11 Indomitable Mount
12
Take the gnome alt. favored class bonus every lvl, it is awesome.
For PFS, I hear that mammoth Rider may not be a great choice, because of the narrow corridors.
