Manuscript is finished, playtesting is done, 1st editing pass is done, it in the middle of its final editing pass, we are putting together Art Descriptions, then it will go to layout, then proofing, and finally release.
I don't make projections about release dates because they are always wrong. But i post about where we are on it every week on my Blog
Yup. I finished up development and editing passes on it last night, and I have all of the art briefs in hand now, too. So I was going to turn it over to Steve. The rough manuscript was posted for backers and in the forums, too. Response has been quiet.

O sweet! thx guys! I just saw the other day and was like f#$$ I cant back it. like last week was the other day
Sold. Just waiting for the release.
I've given it over to Steve with art briefs, so that means it's off to layout and artwork.
-Ben.
will all the art be in color?
I don't know what Steve has in mind for the art. I did provide a number of briefs, and we had some initial work done by Jason Rainville, but I don't know what his plans are for the rest of the book.

Ya, it lost some momentum. Dragon, Tiger, Ox and The Book of Martial Action from Necromancers of the Northwest, have both come out in the years since it was started. Also, Dream Scarred Press is working on their own martial book as well, though I'm not quite sure how far along that project is.
And Purple Duck Games / 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming has released its own Player's Option monk variant, the Ayutthayan Monk (which is based off Thai fighting arts).

Ya, there are numerous takes on the monk, Super Genius Games Talented Monk springs immediately to mind, though there are plenty of others.
