Hello evenyone,
I'm playing in a 4 member group and we have 2 arcane spellcasters, Seoni and Ezren. We have no Divine casters.
I would like to make Seoni into a Divine Caster.
I don't want to choose another character because i really like the power that i auto recharge and the discard to do a 'fireball' spell.
Can i simple swap Arcane for Divine or do i have to change more?
Storywise in DnD Sorceress have dragon/magic blood to explain their powers. Perhaps now she has some god/divine/angel blood something?
Advise would be welcome :D
Thanks

Well, as far as homebrew or custom characters, you can do whatever you like.. it's your game and whatever you find fun, do it!
I would say for game balance, this would probably make her overpowered. Seoni is already a bad-ass. Giving her divine, which gives her access to healing, is a HUGE boon. Then making her Cures AUTORECHARGE? We're starting to approach son-of-God, Messiah status here.
Divine casters are generally a step-below Arcane on the offensive side because they are a step-up on the defensive/healing side. If you were to make a divine caster with a HOLY BOLT ability like Seoni's... I would suggest the prime attribute be just a d10, and perhaps the extra die be d4. So the base would be 1d10 + 1d4 + (Div bonus). And perhaps instead of discarding, you should have to bury the card, that way you can't HEAL back your own Holy bolts.
Just my thoughts...

Having the Holy Bolt recharge is kind of the point. The rest of you're point are good and valid.
How is this?
Seoni - Divine Sorceress
------------------------
Replace Arcane TO Divine
------------------------
Wisdom d6 [+1] [+2] TO Wisdom d8 [+1] [+2] [+3]
Charisma d12 [+1] [+2] [+3] [+4] TO Charisma d10 [+1] [+2] [+3]
Arcane : +2 TO Divine : +2
------------------------
Combat spell Arcane die + d6 [+1] [+2]
TO
Combat spell Divine die + d4 [+1] [+2]
------------------------
Auto-recharge spell [item] with Arcane trait
TO
Auto-recharge spell [item] with Divine trait that does not have the Healing trait
------------------------

I would say motrax is partly right.
You definitly would have to cut here dice down.
Bury for her power, i think that would be way to harsh.
My suggestion would be to cut her Charisma to a d10 and her Divine bonus to a +1.
And i would change her fireball like this.
Holy Bolt: For your combat check, you my discard a card to roll your Divine die + 1d4 ([]+1) with the Attack, Divine and Magic traits. ([]If the bane has the undead trait, add an additional 1d4). This counts as playing a spell.
I mean, come on, we are talking about a holy attack, that should hurt undeads more.
And about the autorecharge, your suggestion sounds a bit clunky, but would definitly get the job done.

How about?
SEONI - FEMALE HUMAN DIVINE SORCERESS
Born into a clan of nomadic wanderers, Seoni wears dozens of runic tattoos that tell the ancient stories of her people and aid her in drawing upon their Divine powers. Quick thinking and with a plan for every situation, she proudly exhibits the marks of her people and endlessly seeks new understanding of her magical abilities. She travels the world, dispelling myths that her people are nothing more than liars and thieves by righting injustices wherever she finds them.
