There is no rolling for stats. Characters are built.
The game is more about discovery than building power characters.
All characters are defined by a phrase (such as "An intelligent Nano who controls gravity").
There are three character classes - a Nano, a Jack, and a Glaive.
The base class plus your descriptors and focus determine your choices for skills and powers.
It is quite different from Pathfinder - very rules light in the area of combat and movement and etc. A very different setting - a fantasy / science fiction world of wonders.
I recommend reading the player's guide or similar before committing.

I bought both the .pdf and the book recently, and I would be very, very excited about a game like this! I've enjoyed Mr. Cook's work for years now, and I think Numemera is excellent.
I'd want to see what sorts of characters the other players put together first, but I'm tentatively thinking of a Clever Nano who Controls Minds.

Any interest in a Numenera game?
I would start with a small scenario to see how it goes and move on from there.
Character generation per the base rulebook.
Looking for 2-3 players.
