I'm looking for build advice on the Magus class for my PFS game. I've never played the class before and really have no clue where to begin. I like the Elric of Melnibone build but a Staff Magus looks cool too.
Anyone have a favorite build with stats, weapons and feats to take they'd like to share? I'd appreciate it.
Thanks ahead of time.

Also, there's a short section meant to describe a few different builds here.
It's a kensai Magus guide, but all of the builds are applicable to regular magi as well!

Arrisal is a (heavily modified) take on STR Ranger's melee transmogriphist hexcrafter. Combat focus is on Shocking Grasp and polymorphing both himself and his Cacodaemon. Many of the decisions of this build are made for RP purposes over pure optimization.
Condariel

T5F: Greater Whip Mastery
T6
T7F: Fury's Fall
T8
T9F: Fury's Snare
T10
Frostbite Whip focused build with the eventually extremely deep pool of spells per day. Regains the medium armour that Spire Defender normally gives up thanks to the Cleric dip. Built before the early-entry via SLA ruling; could likely be altered to do away with two levels of Cleric.
Saharken
Tiefling (Fiendish Sprinter, Prehensile Tail)
Staff Magus
1Armor of the Pit
3Rime Spell, wand wielder
5Combat Expertise, Weapon Focus
6Wand mastery
7Improved Trip
9Tripping Staff, manuever mastery
11Craft Staff, greater trip
12Ghost Blade
13Spell Pen
15Greater Weapon Focus, Bane Blade
17Improved Spell Pen, Weapon Spec
18arcane accuracy
19Greater Weapon Spec
Uses Frostbite rather than Shocking Grasp - given the crit range of a quarterstaff, SG is less attractive. The idea being to trip, fatigue, and entangle enemies all at once. Wand wielder / mastery is to take advantage of the fact that activating wands and staves doesn't disrupt held charges of multi-touch touch spells. At low levels, weaponwand spell, the prehensile tail, and an efficient quiver ensure access to a variety of wands, while at higher levels Saharken will simply make himself a custom staff (or two or three) to fight with.
Zachariah

Shocking Grasp in the element of choice and never worry about electrical resistance again.
