The title really says it all. What campaign setting-specific items have always piqued your curiosity or supercharged your creativity? What items have we mentioned that we've never provided stats for? This could be something specific, like a legendary weapon wielded by a historical figure, a lost relic mentioned in the backstory of some Pathfinder's write-up, or whatever.

Really? Nothing?

I'm honestly struggling on this one... I saw the post this morning and have been trying to come up with things to post here.

Most of the items that I can think of have already been described in Paizo products. Artifacts and Legends (awesome book btw, you should buy it), caught most of the curios that I was interested in, while some of the recent Mythic outings have picked up on items belonging to famed individuals.

If they count, I'd be curious to see some of the less-mobile items across the Inner Sea. Perhaps some stats for the Aiudara network, beyond the basic rules we've seen.

More lost relics from ancient Azlant would be cool, perhaps even some of the equipment Savith used during the war against the Serpentfolk.

Maybe I should read more Pathfinder Tales to get some thoughts... wait, you already did the riffle scrolls!

Yeah sorry... it's almost like you guys have done your job and picked up on a lot of the cool stuff!

Definitely Savith's gear. Any information about her always intrigues me.

Maybe some of Iomedae's gear pre-ascension? Is some of that included in Wrath of the Righteous? I think I heard something like that.

Hmmm. I'll have to read through some stuff to jog my memory...

Gods occasionally have named weapons, like Nerull's Lifecutter, or Thor's Mjolnir, but I can't really think of any specific to Golarion's gods, other than the glaive that Shelyn carries for her brother.

Other than the Shield of Arnisant, I don't really know of any legendary weapons carried by historical figures like Geb, Nex, Arazni, Jatembe, etc. or that are famous items of rule, like some smaller copy of the Rod of Asmodeus carried by the current Thrunite ruler of Cheliax, or an icicle wand or crown worn by whoever Baba Yaga has placed to rule Irrisen in her stead or whatever. The setting seems less 'item-centric' than, say, Greyhawk or the Realms, where some prominent gods and heroes could be identified by a signature item (Khelban and his 'blackstaff,' for instance, or Kas and his sword).

The nine runelords probably enchanted the heck out of their polearms, and it's entirely possible that the hundreds of lesser Sin Mages that served them also had magical polearms of the appropriate sorts, bearing lesser magics. That might make for something of a setting quirk, for ancient Varisian ruins to have an above-average number of magical polearms of the appropriate sorts, some left near the fallen Sin Mage that crafted (or just bought) it, others stashed away in armories, trophies of *other* sin mages that the former resident of this area had beaten.

Some of the lack of famous martial weapons and armor items might stem from how many of the big movers and shakers of the setting's past were wizards. Not much call for legendary spears and bows and breastplates and whatnot, when there aren't a whole bunch of (or, any?) legendary spearmen or archers.

Nex, Geb, Jatembe and Arazni, in particular, should *probably* have some legendary gear, but I don't recall any specifics on that count. Various dynasties and cultures likely have items of rule or items handed down to pharaohs or satraps or Taldan kings or whatnot, but, again, most of that would have to be made up for a new product, unless (more than likely!) I've missed a bunch of such items.

The Fleshforges in Nex count as a magic item, and are certainly legendary!

I've always wondered about Cayden Cailean's shackles. In the Inner Sea World Guide it mentions that he is often depicted wearing a set of broken shackles, representing the breaking free of his own mortality. That just seems to scream major wondrous item to me. But if it was a wondrous item/artifact, what would it do?

Shelyn's glaive! Love the story for it.

Their was a Stone Cube artifact in Gods and Magic that was stated out (kinda). It could grant metamagic feats and change shape and fly around. I remember that it always reminded me of the Codex of Infinite Planes in how it was presented as this object that was waaaaay more than what it appears. And it was never updated from 3.5...

Nevermind. I just found the whole write up for the Greatcube of Jayalakshmi and, while very mysterious, it's pretty well written up. It definitely leaves some space for more to know though. This phrase in particular gets me:

Gods and Magic wrote:
"The cube may also contain secrets of the planes and the strange colors between the stars, but doing so is risky, and several users have gone mad in the attempts to learn unspeakable secrets—but not before half-filling their spellbook or journal with dizzying runes and cryptic phrases. Some believe the cube is partly sentient and has an agenda of its own"

It also mentions a sort of sibling object called the Stone Egg of Jayalakshmi. What the is that?!

Mordant Spire skimmers.

The Star Stone. Absolutely.

Grand Lodge

The World Serpent Totem.

Who or what is it a totem to, and what restraints are associated with wearing it. It just seems like there ought to be more backstory to that.

Those Hellfire Flume thingies in Varisia, big Thassilonian towers that an evoker / wrath sin specialist sits atop and sends fire with much burning down upon enemy invaders. More a location than an 'item,' like the Fleshforges, but still, awesome sounding.

Or the Star Towers of Dou-Bral. Gotta be some kind of funky magic going on there that could be tapped into.

Do we have stats for Decemvirate masks, or the sword what whacked off the head of Ydersius?

Did Geb use the head of a Mythic Medusa as a focus component to cast flesh-to-stone-an-entire-army-of-amazons? Cause that might be a funky item. Beat that, Bavmorda.

The Mauxi. I absolutely want to know more about them. I get a "blue people" Tuareg vibe from them, but I'm sure there's a lot more there that's potentially fascinating.

How Rahadoum works. More about its history, its people, and what happened to the priest caste that existed beforehand.

The Azlanti Cube and Cubes of Nex. I know that they technically have some rules as given in Classic Treasures Revisited, but I'd really like to know more about them all the same.

More about the Star Towers (just what they do and how they function, beyond what's given in Mythic Realms), and the Starstone (always a given).

What happened to Cayden Cailean's favourite drinking mug after he ascended?

Also Savith's gear, as was mentioned above, and stuff from Azlant in general.

Who made the first Staff of the Magi in Golarion? And where is it now?

Anything and everything about Old-Mage Jatembe. And I do mean anything and everything. He's pretty much my hands-down favourite Golarion character, and I'm always looking for more detail on him, his deeds, what he's created, and so on. I'm sure that those scrolls in Champions of Purity, the Ring of Nine Facets and so on aren't all that he came up with over his lifetime. His Mythic Realms writeup includes a Beacon of True Faith that he was given, but not a vast amount more in the way of artifacts.

The items locking Tar-Baphon in place that are scattered in secret places around Ustalav or wider. I reckon I know where one is.
