So I've recently been invited to join a pathfinder campaign near where I am currently living and I cannot settle on what to play.
The party is level 12 with a Fighter/Rouge specializing in longswords, a combat focused dwarven monk and a Oracle focusing on control with a little healing.
They also have a dervish-dance bard, but the player is out most of the time due to collage stuff.
The GM and players have clearly told me they need an arcanist/walking-text-book. Which is fine with me, I like playing int based characters.
The problem is now I am like a kid in a candy shop, I can't decide what I want to play exactly.
On the one hand a straight wizard seems to fit the pill perfectly but I hate being completely reliant on spells.
Another option is a witch, that has some spells but also can mess up the opponents with Hexes.
The third option I have thought of is a Fighter/Wizard/eldritch knight/AA. Sure I'd loss three cL but at least I'd have an alternative attack should I run out of spells.
BTW I already rolled my stats. They are 16,16,14,15,16,12.
.....sooo Paizo community what do you all think I should do?
p.s. both Magus and Gunslinger (guns in general are banned)

A couple more tidbits of info would help.
What type of campaign? Urban setting? Dungeon Crawl? Unusual environment?
What races are allowed? If the unusual ones are permitted it can be fun to build around... an ifrit fire elementalist or a fetchling umbral sorcerer.
In the end only you know what *you* like to play. Buffer? Control? Blaster? Summorner? Enchanter? But a little more info will help us give you even more ideas to have to sort thru.

Everything pathfinder is allowed.
As for the general storyline. I am not exactly sure what going on. It a home-brew campaign. I think the storyline takes them all over. So some urban, some dungeons and some whatever else is going on at the moment.

Go pure Wizard, the group is crying out for it and it's so much fun. Reliant on spells hardly means much when you can conjure creatures to protect you in melee and throw pits in front of charging barbarians. If you want melee and casting power see if synthesist summoner is permitted. Your eidolon becomes part of you, giving you greater physical attributes. But wizards have so much versatility, that being reliant on spells is no big deal.
