We had a disagreement come up during play as to how the add two dice part of the Lamashtu blessing works.
Person A thinks that it should only apply to Monster cards (the orange ones)
Person B thinks that it should also apply to villains and henchmen that have the box "type: monster" in the upper-right. The only problem with this is all the villains have this type and almost all the henchmen do, with the exclusion of the poison traps. This would mean Lamashtu can be applied to all combat rolls.
How are other people playing this one? How was it intended?

Villains and henchmen have 2 types. Most commonly that second type is monster. That means they are monsters. So Blessing of Lamashtu adds two dice to checks to defeat villains and henchmen that are monsters.
Type: Most banes are either monsters or barriers. Most villains and henchmen have the “monster” type and count as monsters; a few henchmen have the “barrier” type and count as barriers.
There are actually a couple barriers that have a combat check to defeat. Blessing of Lamashtu would not help against them.
There could also be a location that would have a combat check to close it. That would be pretty neat, but Blessing of Lamashtu would not help with that.

I love Blessing of Lamashtu for this reason... but note it does have one minor penalty that other special blessings do not. You BURY it when you use it for 2 dice. So unless the blessings deck is a Lamashtu (only 5 total so pretty rare) when u play one... you're never getting it back this scenario.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they get buried anyway? IIRC, you can only recharge if you would discard.

Double checked and you are correct... recharged only if discarded. I think I was remembering some items, I think wands, that normally BURY unless you can make the arcane check, then they do something else, discard or recharge?

I believe that the wands recharge if you can make the roll.

Wands say to recharge instead of burying if you make the check. Lqamashtu says to recharge instead of discarding if there's a Lamashtu on the discard pile. If you're burying Lamashtu, you're not discarding it so you can't recharge it

Right. You can only recharge Lamashtu when the top blessing discard is Lamashtu and you use it to add 1 die to any check. The 2 dice power gets it buried, always.

All this being said, it's still one of, if not the, best blessings in the game. I particularly like that it can be used on non-combat checks to defeat a monster, like the Siren or the Satyr.
In my opinion, of the blessings released thus far, only Abadar and Pharasma can compare, and I think it's better than they.

Yo dawg, I heard you like replys. We put a reply box in your reply box. So, while you're replying to a message you can reply to the other 7 above it.

You are spot on. Well played, sir.
