Multiple archetypes with optional replacement?

Can you take 2 archetypes if the only overlap in the chart is optional?

For example could you be a Sin Eater Kinslayer inquisitor?

Chart?

If the archetypes replace or modify the same features of the base class, they cannot be taken together.

Sczarni

Upon further inspection, it does not appear that the Sin Eater or the Kinslayer share the same features, so you should be safe.

Looks like he is concerned about about a possible conflict between the Kinslayer's Greater Band ability, which optionally replaces a teamwork feat at any level it is taken, and the Sin Eater's Speak With Dead ability, which replaces the level 6 bonus teamwork feat.

The precedent for this has been set with the FAQ for the qinggong monk. Though since there appears to be no general rule for this and nothing specifically addresses the Kinslayer, you would have to get your GM to houserule this specific situation.

Speak with Dead and Greater Brand can collide. I'd go with the qinggong monk advice also. Purely option class abilities that can be chosen at various levels are not altering the same ability "until they are."

If it overlaps, than the package is not legal. Doesn't matter if it overlaps with a variable feature, an optional feature or a feature you don't use, it's an overlap. You can ask your GM to grant you a variance.

Considering a character for Society so house-ruling isn't an option. Seems like there is some disagreement in this thread. Exocrat provides an excellent precedent but since there is no general rule I think I better stay away from the concept. Thank you all.
