Oracle Spell Choices for Wrath of the Righteous

Advice

As the thread title says, I'm currently playing an Oracle in a Wrath of the Righteous campaign. Beyond a few of the obvious buff/protection choices, I'm at a bit of a loss on what spells would be useful to have for this campaign as we level up. The rest of the party consists of a kensai, two rogues, a paladin, and two monks (one is a Drunken Master) - so I'm obviously filling the healer/buffer/utility role and possibly helping with social skills since the paladin player is pretty inexperienced with PF in general. What spells would I find handy to have?

Relevant info: Life mystery, Haunted curse, possibly taking the New Arcana bloodline power via Eldritch Heritage if our DM is cool with it. We're currently 5th level and almost done with the first book.

Thanks! :)

Stick with the buff protection spells. A good deal of the fights that you will face are going to include spell resistance. I would however, suggest alignment channel evil to help bypass the SR and take down potential swarms. When you get to tier 1 you will have an option to spend a single mythic power to cast any spell on your list.

Thanks! I wasn't intending to make this a build thread, but the suggestion on Alignment Channel does raise another question I had been thinking about - would it be better to take feats to buff my channel revelation or should I maybe look at summoning (good) monsters? Or do a little of both?

Obviously, this is way late for this poster. For others looking at the Oracle for WOTR....

I'm just wrapping up my campaign. I am/was an Aasimar Oracle of Life. With my mythic feat, I took the Mythic Domain, which further enhanced my Channel Energy. Pretty much every feat went into my channel energy. About 1/3rd of the way thru, I took one level of Holy Vindicator, so xd6 added the X to my AC. Right now, my channels are doing somewhere around 18d6 (DC 50ish) and throwing the enemies around like mad.

In my campaign, I've had two additional things that my GM was particularly nice about. The first was he allowed me to create a feat that enabled my push to grant AoO from nearby allies. Not huge, as there is a feat similar for Bull Rush. The second and bigger was that he allowed me to take a second curse and mystery path, similar to the Crossblood Sorcerer. The negatives he gave were one less spell/level, one less known spell/level, and the second curse never evolved (stuck at level 1). I picked Lore as the second mystery, and did Side-step Secret. The gods don't match up, but we're running with it anyway (as we're playing a 3 person party). We are mopping the floor with everything, and my AC is somewhere north of 75.

Even without the niceties of my GM, I suspect an aasimar of life could really do well in WOTR. I believe in mythic, it really exemplifies the potential power of Channel Energy, but be prepared to be virtually useless until module 2. You will start to shine once Evil Outsiders become the primary enemy.

Mythic stuff makes channeling amazingly powerful. Being able to channel negative, harming all evil creatures, as a cleric 4 higher than your oracle level, will quickly get crazy good. If that's what floats your boat, it's a very strong build. So strong that it might unbalance the game if you don't show some restraint.

Spell-wise, with oracle one thing you have to realize is that your party is counting on you to be able to remove a bunch of bad conditions. Lesser restoration, Dispel Magic, and Restoration are musts at their spell level. Remove Curse can become very important when you need it and don't have access. Same thing with remove blindness/deafness.

Holy Smite is also a strong spell in the campaign, but I expect a lot of the smarter demons will find some way to mitigate that glaring weakness.
