Way of the Wicked - A Vampire campaign

Advice

I ran Kingmaker a while back and that was fun; until the entire party were taken out by shocker lizards; That was funny...
Anyway; my players always seem to drift to the morally ambiguous side of things so I decided to run Way of the Wicked.
What my players don't know is that they are all going to unwittingly become vamps. I've been going through GM of Blinding Light's campaign and that has given me some good ideas.
I was going to have them infected by Tiadora, via wine or somesuch, instead of the veil. So that they can attempt to escape without much in the way of tools but will ultimately be hanged and resurrect as vampires. I was wondering how to do this and also What should I do with Thorn? make him a Vampire Lich or something?

Are you sure your players will all go along happily with having been made into vampires if such wasn't discussed before the campaign began?

I'm not a fan of railroading PCs into character choices like this, you definitely might want to reconsider.

My recommendation would be to start the campaign post hanging and just have them start as vampires. Otherwise it's just a tedious railroading exercise for which the players may as well not bother turning up.

Though my *real* recommendation if you want to do this is to play Vampire: The Masquerade.

I believe that one of the later books has feats and recommendations for playing as undead, and turning into vampires and liches specifically.

According to the book, you need five feats in order to become a full vampire, and opinionally some more to cover some weaknesses.

I also suggest to avoid railroading them. Tell them that they will become eventually vampires and the feat commitement that it requires. They should be prepared.

You know your players better though.

They all have expressed an interest in being vamps; however I will offer them some sort of side quest cure for anyone who wants out I guess.

Book 2 has the recommendations for a Vamp campaign. Pick up book two and read the suggestions portion at the end.

Ah just found the recommendations in book 4

With that many feats that are required though, Fighters are the main class of appeal. Especially if they have not dumped their Charisma. Swashbuckler from the ACG can also be a good deal, as they make good use of Charisma.
