I am playing a tengu cleric of Shizuru in a Carrion Crown game approaching level 5. I am wondering what some ideal metamagic feats would be for a cleric. Since they lack blasting spells in the lower spell levels a lot of the feats seem like they'd be useless with the exception of Persistent Spell. Any one have some insight into metamagic feat selection for a cleric?

Selective channeling is a must and extra channeling ... Oh on second thought those are general.
I like thanatopic spell it allows death affects to affect undead. Piercing spell is always good when dealing with a lot of SR.
Ectoplasmic spell allows you to affect noncorporial opponents.
Consecrate spell maximizes spells against evil creatures.
There really are a lot of good ones especially against evil and undead

I've played a bunch of Clerics, and I've always found better feats than metamagic for the early levels. Some specialized builds could surely benefit from them, especially caster builds with a high DC.
Figure out for what schtick will you use metamagic, decide if it's worth the investment, then maybe do it. For example, if your schtick is Action Economy, then Quicken Spell is the relevant feat. I found that by 9th level my Battle Cleric rarely had time to cast the buff Divine Favor, despite it giving a +4 +4 combat bonus. The trait Magical Linneage (Divine Favor), plus the Quicken Spell metamagic feat, allowed for Quickened Divine Favor as a 4th level spell. Additionally, Quickened Truestrike, a 1st level Luck Domain spell, could fill the 5th level domain slot. This allowed for a swift action self-buff and a swift action 'I hit it'. All appropriate to a Battle Cleric, but not to a caster or Bad Touch Cleric. They would want a different schtick.
Most cleric builds don't have an obvious place for metamagic. A few builds do. E.g. A Theologian blaster Cleric of Sarenrae with the Fire domain could make good use of Focussed Spell, especially with Magical Linneage (Burning Hands).
