Wild only works with wild shape
The wearer of a suit of armor or a shield with this ability preserves his armor bonus (and any enhancement bonus) while in a wild shape.
I would suggest increasing UMD and getting wands of Mage Armor and Shield, an probably a Cracked Vibrant Purple Ioun Stone to cast in fox shape, just drop it first.

Now that I know that my (unusable) equipment stays with me, I'll just deal with not having armor in fox shape (which is more for utility/disguise anyway).
Now I need to make sure that I can still easily keep/use it in both humanoid forms. I think I can.
Not PFS, I make scores of characters for future use, so there is no supervising GM, I don't know if I will even ever use this character.

Just browsing myself and there is the glamoured property in the core rulebook that makes armour appear to be normal clothing while retaining all its properties, and an armour that shifts between plate, chain and scale in the ultimate equipment guide (with changes in the type of damage it protects against). So I'd say you can make a case that your creating (or if you have a nice gm find) a suit that changes between forms to fit your two humanoid forms e.g. tail and digitrade legs. I'm sure your not the first Kitsune to want armour that fits all your forms.
Although I do have to wonder if any PC's ever spent EIGHT feats for eight extra tails (would have made sense to have 1 feat and the number of tails tied to level in my opinion). I mention this solely because I am often concerned about the lack of armour options for tailed beings and having 9 tails would make it very difficult to find something that fit.
