Rules Questions

How much is a tankard exactly?

Does Ale count as a potion?

Is there anything in pathfinder that allows a drunken master to drink his ale as a lower costing action than a standard?

Are there sickening effects for consuming too much alcohol in pathfinder or can I have my drunken master "Drink enough alcohol at all times to have the maximum amount of temporary drunken ki points whenever he can."

Grand Lodge

I have seen tankards and mugs of many sizes. I don't think the rules exactly define it.

Ale is not a Potion.

At 19th level Firewater Breath states that a Drunken Master can take a drink and expel a breath weapon as a Standard Action. Other than that I don't think there is any way to make it faster than a Standard Action.

Yes there are sickening effects.

Alcohol

Just like drugs, alcohol can be abused and have significant negative effects. In general, a character can consume a number of alcoholic beverages equal to 1 plus double his Constitution modifier before being sickened for 1 hour equal to the number of drinks above this maximum. Particularly exotic or strong forms of alcohol might be treated as normal drugs. Those who regularly abuse alcohol might eventually develop a moderate addiction.

edit: I may have misunderstood your first question. Prices for ale are found under food and drink in the CRB.

Sorry about not being clear. I indeed wanted to know the volume of a tankard, not the cost.

Going off of the drunken master ability...

Does the ability allow me to count 5 feet of my movement as not provoking?

or

Does the ability allow me to move 5 feet in addition to my normal movement that is not provoking?

If so, can I move more than my maximum movement speed allows?

Also, I'm assuming since in the above example over drinking makes you sickened for one hour, that each hour that passes subtracts a "drunk point" from your overall drunk-ness?
