Planescape: Torment character builds

I was revisiting one of the greatest DnD games of all time when I got the inkling to make PFS characters from some of the party characters. I have an idea for Dak'kon and Annah-of-the-Shadows as well as Vhailor. The one I really want to try is Falls-from-Grace, but I can't play a succubus...

Any ideas?

What's the greatest DnD game of all time?

I plan on playing an Elven Ranger that duel wields scimitars. Attack penalties be damned!

Demon-Spawn Tiefling is probably the closest you can get to a Succubus from a fluff standpoint--it also gives a Cha bonus and can grant vestigial wings.

Canonically, Fall-From-Grace is a non-theistic cleric, which wouldn't fly in PFS. The closest you could get thematically is probably Irori. Oracle is another possibility, though I'm at a loss as to which Curse would be most appropriate.

However, another option might be to play a Witch with the Healing patron. This would allow you to mimic many of the abilities of the succubus (Charm, Enervation, etc) using spells and hexes, and retain most of the healing and restorative potential. You'd want to pick another Tiefling bloodline in this case, as Demon-Spawn carries an Int penalty.

May I hazard a guess that Dak'kon is a Magus with the Bladebound and Kensai archetypes?

I'd love to see someone's take on Ignus. I've no idea, really, what would fit him best.

My first thoughts ran to an Oracle of Flame with the Blackened Curse. Though I guess a Primal Fire Sorcerer or even just elemental Fire would work out well too.

I really like the Blackened Flame Oracle option as well-particularly at level 9 when the Form of Flame revelation allows you to become a medium fire elemental. I'd probably take Burning Magic, Heat Aura, and Form of Flame for revelations, in that order.

I was thinking an eldritch knight for dak'kon but I like the ideas that are getting thrown out. I'll have to revisit witch and Oracle for falls though...

I would have made dak'kon a magus myself, probably a kensai. It seems to fit his mixing of magic & martial

And Black Blade works well to represent the shifting nature of his Karach Blade.

Good call, thanks! Now, I can't run a githzeri for his race...so that presents another problem...

Nordom could be built as a Fighter with 2 levels of alchemist for extra arms (take the Extra Discovery feat to get Vestigial Arm twice). Throw on the Grenadier archetype to allow alchemical items to be added to ranged attacks to make his Gear Spirits a bit more potent. I'm not a fan of the Crossbowman Fighter archetype personally, but it would fit thematically. Alternately, Lore Warden could be used to represent the effects of some of his Lenses.

Annah seems like a straightforward Rogue/Fighter with Two-Weapon Fighting, the Brawler Fighter archetype, and Punch Daggers. She could also use the Burglar or Cutpurse Rogue archetype.

If I remember properly, Githzerhai are an offshoot of humans (modified by the illithid), so human would not be a bad choice... especially if you give it the "latent psion" racial trait.

There's nothing about the githzerai physically that makes them that different from a human - they're taller, quite a bit faster, and have a few minor powers. Most of what's interesting about githzerai is their culture, history, and personality, I think, especially Dak'kon.

I would say that a magus with a bastard sword would be a good fit for Dak'kon. His sword is an artifact, but it wasn't sentient - I'm not sure I'd go with bladebound for him, but honestly I'm not a huge fan of the archetype. As I remember, though, Dak'kon does wear light armor, so I would probably just go straight magus for him.

FFG as a healing witch makes a lot of sense, as would an oracle - a life oracle demon-blooded tiefling would be a pretty good fit for her. You could even use the Business boon to start the Brothel of Slaking Intellectual Lusts!

I would probably go straight fighter for Nordom - he pretty much just shot things. Pathfinder doesn't have a good tinker class to represent the other things he did, though it might work decently with the new Investigator class from the ACG playtest - the inspiration stuff might fit him well, especially if you can describe some it as the work of gear spirits.

Vhalior would be a straight fighter, maybe splashing in some Oracle of Battle or a really, really angry Oath of Vengeance paladin. Inquisitor might fit as well, though he's not that skill-oriented.

Annah might be a slayer, using the new ACG book. That's good for a melee-oriented rogue.

The Nameless One, obviously, doesn't fit anywhere. He is everything and nothing, all at the same time.

Morte isn't going to fit in as a PFS character, sadly.

There's nothing to stop a Kensai wearing light armour--they don't lose canny defense or any other class features if they do so. They just don't start with any armour proficiencies, and still incur spell failure--neither of which is a problem in a mithril chain shirt.

I was thinking of a knife master for Annah, combo's with two weapon fighting and punch daggers. If only there were a cloak of invisibility that you could leave the cowl down, so as to appear to be a floating head. Personally I'd love to play Morte. He was one of my favs
