Advanced Class Guide Playtest General Discussion

So, first I'd like to thank the designers for being prompt & reasoned with their responses & not giving into the nerdrage some of us feel towards the new classes. You're taking the time to listen to your community, and you're doing a fairly good job of it considering the community is some sort of 13-headed hydra that cuts off it's own heads sometimes.

Just a few general comments on the playtest for the moment (sorry for the negativity):
-I really feel like I need more on what "hybrid classes" (and attached abilities) means. A lot of griping (does panache count as grit, is the swashbuckler weapon training like the gunslinger's or the fighter's, etc.) stems from a lack of knowledge from the players, and makes it hard to test the classes in a "real" enviroment, since we dont know what tools (IE items & feats) they have access to).

-There is a certain lack of polish in the playtest document; the typos/weird sentences notwithstanding, there does seem to be a feel from the community that this is more of an alpha test than a beta test. I really dont know enough to tell the difference, but several of the classes feel... "unfocused" would be the best word (and investigator the best example).

That's all. I'm hoping to give some genuine playtest data soon, but local "testing" PFS games are already full around me, so I might not get the chance. I might try to convince my regular GM to use some though, so I might be able to give some feedback from the "opponent" side. I'll also continue making theoretical builds and getting a feel for each class. Hopefully some of them will be helpful!
