Cool. That'll work for me. :)
Looking at Group 1’s skillsets, it looks like there’s some redundancy between Jean-Pierre and Huc in terms of role/skillset.
Huc’s a naturally better stealther, but Jean-Pierre’s a much better trap-breaker.
It might be fun to have a scouting team (and if we go this route, you able/interested in picking up Stealth Synergy?)
If we only want one scout, do you want to do that? Or would you prefer Huc do it? I built Huc to do it, but I can’t match your trap-breaking skills. And if we can rely on Jean-Pierre to do it, that means I can re-jig my trait and skills to drop Disable Device in favor of something more useful.
I’m also having to rework my gear (i went over budget initially). My AC is going to take a hit. I’d love to be able to get the Shield spell available for Huc, but even if I pick up the trait and max out the ranks, i’ll only have a +8 modifier to hit a DC 20 in situations where we likely don’t have time for Huc to futz around trying to get his wand to work.
Tarq, would you be open to hitting Huc with a wand of Shield when the time’s right (if I can provide the wand)? Or do you think you’re going to generally need that time for self-buffing?

@Huc: Shield is a 'Personal' spell, so even if we had a wand, people can only activate it on themselves :-/
Also, how are you getting +16 on Disable Device; shouldn't it be only +12 (or +10, since I don't see MW Thieves' Tools on your equipment list)?
(+3 Dex + 4 ranks + 3 class skill + 1 trait + 2 equipment - 1 Armor Check Penalty = +12)

I'm sorry to intrude, but I saw this thread earlier this afternoon when it drifted to the top of the active threads list, and was intrigued. If you're still looking for players for a second group, and have room for a second warpriest, this alias has been looking for a place to call home for playtesting. I think she would play rather differently from Chantilly, and two divine warriors together might have nice synergy.

Group 2 will be Rune's Swashbuckler, David's Warpriest, Balodek's Bloodrager, and the freshly arrived Warpriest Adonara.
No problems welcoming you Adonara - just be aware that I'll be fairly light on descriptives and that the essence is a quick and dirty playtest :)
Thread is here have at!
If we somehow manage to scrounge together another four I could always open a thread number three.

@Mark:
It has been brought to my attention the last line under the "Bonus feats" class ability for the Swashbuckler:
Upon reaching 4th level and every four levels thereafter, a swashbuckler can choose to learn a new bonus feat in place of a bonus feat she has already learned. In effect, the swashbuckler loses the bonus feat in exchange for the new one. The old feat cannot be one that was used as a prerequisite for another feat, prestige class, or other ability. A swashbuckler can only change one feat at any given level and must choose whether or not to swap the feat at the time she gains a new bonus feat for the level.
Swashbuckler levels are considered fighter levels for the purpose of meeting combat feat prerequisites.
So if you don't object, Valerya will take Weapon Specialization (rapier) as her 4th level bonus feat.

After two days this week when I've gone to bed less than three hours before my first alarm goes off to head back to work... I'm pretty sure I'm over the hump - or at least will be once my son's birthday party is out of the way tomorrow.
A moment longer of your indulgence and then I shall be functional once more.

Adonara's been updated to include the latest revisions: fervour looks neat, and she now hits a bit harder with a whip, but I decided to mess around as little as possible with her feats.
Yep - I may not get a chance to update tonight... youngest has a 39 degree fever.
I hope they feel better soon; take care of you and yours.

Mark, do you mind revealing the result of Valerya's turn of actions? I mean, did she face damage reduction or did she miss the creature's AC? Did the Intimidate work?
Normally I wouldn't bother you with these questions, but I'd like to have a good notion of this class' efficacy specially considering we're facing one of the few creatures immune to her major damage ability.

Rune |

OK, this class is a PBP nightmare. How do you guys think the Dodging Panache would interact with the current situation?
Valerya spent 1 panache and 1 attack of opportunity to try and deflect the blow, but it failed (meaning she didn't get to spend the second panache and immediate action to try the riposte). She still may use Dodging Panache to try and dodge the attack.
So she could spend 1 other panache and her immediate action to add 3 to her AC.

So, t'would appear that the playtest is gone and done - and I apologize for not being the greatest guide this last month or so. Unfortunately my best spirits were hamstrung by a rapid uptick in work and various daycare plagues unleashed upon the family.
I'm thinking it best therefore to shut down the two groups and have the PbPs fade to black. Thanks for taking the time to tinker, and I hope you got a bit of fun at least from the character creation - if not from the particularly underwhelming Dark Menagerie.
