Adding Enchantments to Specifics

Rules Questions

I have a set of Catskin leather armor and I was wondering what kind of costs it would be to add enchantments to armor or weapons that are specific magic weapons

Enhancements.
Anyway: you'll have to ask your GM, since you'll be creating "home-brew" items and these need to be priced individually.

Also, if armor gets a specific enhancement, does it also gain the AC bonus from adding an enhancement? I think the answer is no but I want to be sure

No. You can get a numeric bonus or a specific enhancement.

That specific armor is a +1 leather armor with the rest of the bonuses not being a specific bonus so it simply adds to the price.
If you wanted to make it +2 then it would cost 18910 gp + 3000 gp (difference in cost between +1 and +2).

Full explanation:
The cost of the armor is calculated like this:

a) +1 leather armor = 1000 gp for the enhancement 150 gp for masterwork and 10 gp for the leather armor = 1160 gp.

b) Now we identify the different abilities that is on the list of "armor special abilities" in this case the armor is shadow which is +3750 AND it gives another competence bonus to another skill for an extra +3750. Total cost so far: 1160+3750+3750= 8660 gp.

c) The armor has other unique abilities and it is impossible to judge how much the different abilities add to the price so collectively they add the remainder of the cost for a total of: 8660 gp + XXX gp = 18910 gp (XXX = 10250 gp).

d) making it +2 or adding a special ability with the cost of +1 bonus will cost the difference between +1 and +2. Magic armor price is bonus squared times 1000 so +1 is 1000 gp and +2 is 4000 gp. Difference is 3000 gp and the armor will now cost 18910 gp +3000 gp = 21910 gp.

As others have stated you should really check with your DM on this but the pricing model I've used is the standard way of doing it.

And as others have stated when you add to the armor you either choose between the +1 enhancement or the special ability.

Ok, thank you Lifat. That helped immensely
