Animal Companions in Mythic Games

Rules Questions

So, I'm probably going to be running the Wrath of the Righteous adventure path soon, and I know that one of the players will probably want to play a summoner. So, I've read the Mythic Adventures book cover to cover, and I cannot find anywhere something about rebuild rules for animal companions, eidolons, and whatnot. It seems to be that if an animal companion using base rules was thrust into a mythic game, it would be crushed. So, was there something in the book that I just missed? If not, any suggestions on how to handle the rebuild?

The two mythic paths you want to look at are hierophant and gaurdian. They have abilities that will help your servants.

Other paths, like Marshall, can also help, but for a summoner the two paths I mentioned above are better, in my opinion.

And yes, there aren't any rules except taking the mythic companion feat and those rare mythic abilities that help your servants.

In the case of a summoner, your shear flexibility should be enough to keep the team effective.

Yes, I was looking into the same thing. Wycen is right; it is feat heavy, but doable. It looks like Companions are going to be able to demolish regular monsters, but be pretty frail in front of mythic ones.

The Mythic Companion and Blessed Companion abilities are both pretty nice, though.

The Hierophant and Guardian paths are the way to go. If you want another path (Archmage for a Summoner) than you can chose the feat Dual Path to gain access to H and G path abilities. In general you have the decision between 'boosting my character' or 'boosting my AC, eidolon etc' because you dont have enough feats / path abilities :)

Your AC, eidolon etc. can learn the feat Mythic Companion. It is weaker compared to the Guardian path ability with the same name but it provides a little more survivability if you often fight against mythic foes. The feat Marked for Glory combined with Extra Mythic Power can be usefull too but again you need a lot of feats.
