Silver Crusade 1/5

In the encounter with the old worg is it possible for a ranger or druid to befriend him and take him on as an animal companion?

Grand Lodge 3/5

It has an intelligence of 6 and is a magical beast, not an animal, so no. It can speak common and goblin, so diplomacy could sway it's attitude toward the PCs.

If it is not mentioned on the chronicle, then I'm afraid you can't take either of them as an animal companion.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Multiclass/retrain to summoner and describe a fantastic creature just like a talking wolf, perhaps?

Silver Crusade 1/5

Why do that Starglim? If unique Animals or magical beasts are put into a scenario then the DEVS should expect a Druid or Ranger to try to hook up with them as that is what most druids and Rangers would try to do.
Even if the said beastie is evil, I would think trying to redeem the beastie is something that would be encouraged by the DEVS.

:
The Worg is at the end of its life if a ranger or Druid could redeem the Worg it would be a great accomplishment for the Ranger or Druid.

There are scenarios (I won't name them) where characters may gain access to more fantastic animal companions and /or familiars. This is not one of them. Move along, please - nothing to see here :-)
