Anyone important die last week. Well, Dammed the Styx by Beavers, Ed Lauter passed away.

Hmmmmmm. Can't wait to be Miley Cyrus's wrecking ball.

Ah, more of Ed's rolls.

I heard Jeff Goulbum died yesterday.

He Did! I'm coming!

Rushes out door!

Saunders back in

That was just a hoax.

I believe Don James is heading your way

You know you're right too.

Would have been hilarious if the rock fell back on them.

Always a class lady. You're ride across the River Paradise is on me.

Rock and Roll will never die! So long Lou Reed.

I'll add Polish first non-communist Prime Minister during the fall of "Communism".

to quote Jeff Goldblum's reps (emphasis mine): "He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet."

EDIT: As an aside, this is the second time in two years he has apparently fallen to his death from the Kauri Falls filming in New Zealand. I think he should avoid New Zealand ...

I'm pretty sure that was the point.

d'oh, I missed Charon coming back in to declare it a hoax.

But the others in the list so far did indeed die (aside from the BSA leaders who like to destroy natural wonders) and take the ride on Charon's boat ...

Shadow Lodge

I got a decent sized list of folks who should be on charons boat

Shadow Lodge

Wasn't fast enough, then he crashed into a tree. Didn't those movies teach you anything?

No matter how fast you are, I will always get my man.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Heh. A man (we'll call him Bob) was stepping out of his front door one day, when he saw his next-door neighbor (Joe) rushing into his house, looking terrified. Bob went to see if there was anything he could do to help, and found Joe frantically throwing clothes into a suitcase with one hand, while he was working on his iphone with the other. "What's the matter?", said Bob. "You'll never believe me, but I was heading towards the train stop, and I saw Death!", said Joe. "And what's more, he saw me, and he did this double-take! So I'm getting out of town right now. I figure a few days in Honolulu would do me good anyway." With that, Joe rushed out, and Bob headed on towards work. On the way there, he spotted a dark figure with a scythe sitting in the park. "Well", he thought, "okay, I'm curious." So he strolled up to Death and said, "Excuse me." Death turned his empty cowl towards Bob and said "Yes?". "Well, I have this friend, Joe, and you gave him quite a scare a few minutes ago. He said you acted surprised to see him". "Oh, yes", said Death. "I was quite surprised to see him here. I have an appointment with him later today in Honolulu."

Yea, that Grim Reaper. Great man, but don't play poker with him.

It looks like the professor from gilligans island is heading your way. Man that dude was my hero

Yea, best show in the 60s and 70s by far. He and the rest of the cast will get VIP treatment when they arrive.

Don't worry I take extra care of them.

Here comes Ruben from the partridge family, be kind to him

Yea, there's room for two.

I'm going to need help getting this one in the boat

Silver Crusade

That is sad, he was good

[Cries]

Yeah, Hoffman was way too young and had wrestled his addiction in submission. :(

One last good-bye from the good ship Lollypop

I believe the dad from the waltons is coming. Be kind to him

Sid Caesar also died - a pity for those of us who remembered him.

Yea, I got the text message this morning. Sid was waiting for Ralph. Two fine men of their craft and trade.

You got lucky kid. Yea, you got lucky and it won't last forever.

Sir, don't tempt me. Especially when you have a set of fully functional brakes.

Maggie Estep debuts in the Great Poetry Slam in the Sky.

She was famous? I charging her double.

To a certain age (aging?) demographic of MTV watchers in the early nineties, yeah.

I thought I smelt Grunge.

Silver Crusade

Bob Casale the guitarist from Devo is heading your way. Nothing like crossing styx to the relaxing sounds of "Whip It"

Unless you're condemned by Hades. Still, I miss the early 80s synthesizer sound.

So you just... row on the river of souls and kill time by trying to recognize famous mortals in the endless stream of anguish and despair? Guess even the impersonation of death by old age gets bored waiting for the apocalypse.

Uh, well yea I guess. But remember, I never said the River Styx was gloomy, or scenic either.

Silver Crusade

Harold Ramis, A ghostbuster and all around funny guy

Yea, I have space on the barge if he should need his proton pack and ghost trap.

Right this way sir. It's an honor ands the Rules Encyclopedia was one of my favorite D&D books.

Ultimate? Ha! You're ultimate ass is mine. Now get in the boat before I deliver my own version of the "Tombstone."
