what's your 1st level? and what kind of tiefling are you?

kensai (magus archetype) makes an excellent Int based melee guy, and the dervish dancer build works well the base tieflings stats.

there's a couple interesting alchemist builds: in terms of being "highly intelligent" a mindchemist is pretty much where its at- Int mod x2 on all knowledge checks, and cognatogen which makes you smarter (further exploding your knowledges, and increasing bomb damage/DC); grenadier is also a good high Int build (that benefits from Dex bonus too)- need lots of bombs and good DCs (take cognatogen as a discovery, along with lots of other bomb ones; grab some ranged combat feats).

wizard or wildblooded sorcerer [sage] are kind of cliche but there's a reason for that- they are so 'highly intelligent' that they've learned to reshape reality... that's tough to argue with.

if you're looking for something atypical/unexpected, it would be more MAD than the other builds but a lore warden headed into the student of war PrC gains a lot of benefits from Int (at least, compared to other fighters he does...)

Grand Lodge

Mindchemist.

Well right now I'm a level 2 Fiend Flayer archetype that plans to take two monk levels to get evasion to help with low health and area of affect attacks but I'm really wanting try magus but maybe I'm just not high enough in its levels to really see the fun in it yet righ now I jus feel like a sorcerer who is not all that.

This is more for a skill monkey rogue that wanted more bard...without playing a bard:Sleepless Detective Prestige Class

It is basically a prestige class designed around being Sherlock Holmes. It adds Int to perception, sense motive, and diplomacy (and it uses perception for survival as well). Also, at will detect magic, but with a slight improvement, as well as some other investigative spells as SLAs and some rogue talents.

Some of the later abilities are pretty much meant to be cinematic, include a riposte ability as well as a scrying...but done in the same style as the black and white flashbacks in crime dramas.

Overall, it is probably a poor choice as far as combat goes, worse than the rogue it seems to be meant for, and quite honestly a bard might do the job of the prestige class just as well. But it seems memorable at least. Probably nicer for NPCs.

I'll just leave this here

Well, another option that can work well with the magus i the "student of war" PrC (gimps your spellcasting, but it uses your int well). The feat cost is HIGH, but it can be really cool. You basically go around "identifying" your enemies weaknesses, getting bonuses to hit & such, while using you int instead of dex for AC. I find it's the best example of a "warrior-scholar" out there.

However, dont give up on the magus. you've got a lot more flexibility than a sorcerer, though at low level that doesnt mean much. The traditional "shocking grasp+spellstrike" combo is harder to pull of at lower level, but it can be done consistently.

I will admit I'm unsure how the fiend flayer achetype works out in combat. You'll need fairly high con to use it's abilties to the fullest. At the very least, it doesnt replace any of your other abilities, so that's nice.
