When I discovered the monk of the 4 winds, I found it to be a very interesting class. It's basically the avatar (from the show) in that it controls the 4 elements and can reincarnate. Awesome basis for a class. Not only that, you get SCALING elemental damage, to the tune of 1d6 per 5 levels. THat is tremendous versatility. I think it makes for an interesting chance to make a dex-based damage monk build. Combined with the various djinn/marid/shaitan/iffrit styles to add wisdom to damage in various cases.
Here's how I see it:
Race: Human (or Vanara or Grippli or tiefling (asura-spawn) or aasimar (garuda-blooded) )
25 pts:
Str 12 Dex 15+2 Con 14 Int 12 Wis 15 Cha 12
1 Weapon finesse, deflect arrows, elemental fist, (human feat: defiant luck)
2 Combat reflexes
3 Pirhanna strike
4
5 Djinni style
6 Improved disarm
7 Shaitan Style
8
9 Marid or iffrit style
10 Medusa's Wrath
Obviously, an agile amulet of mighty fists is necessary. What do you guys think? Will this guy be able to survive on the damage front? I did some basic calculations, AC wont be a problem, and to hit will be pretty good. The only problem is damage, as it is for all monks.
