Antimagic Field, Dispel Magic and Greater Dispel Magic

Rules Questions

Hello everyone, I'm uncertain about Greater Dispel Magic and Antimagic Field.

Antimagic field says it clearly:

Core rulebook wrote:
Dispel Magic does not remove Antimagic Field
Since Greater Dispel Magic specifies that
Core rulebook wrote:
This spell functions like Dipel Magic

is it right to say that Greater Dispel Magic does not remove Antimagic Field?

Liberty's Edge

Yes, greater dispel magic don't remove a antimagic field.

Sczarni

I'm pretty positive Antimagic Field would still stop it. Greater Dispel Magic is to target more than one object/person/whatever. I don't think it really changes it's potency for what degree of spells it can dispel.

Thanks for your answers!

Only arcane disjunction can remove an
Antimagic field

Don't forget that Aroden's Spellbane can be set to Antimagic field and will suppress it if it's within the emanation.
