Planar Ally Oracle

Rules Questions

Who sends oracle his planar ally's?
Because it seems that if im an oracle w/o deity, I can just appeal to the forces that I serve (say fire) to send me aid. And the forces would send me just about anything.

Thoughts?

Probably one of the deities referenced in the Oracle description, based on the Mystery chosen by the character: "Unlike a cleric, who draws her magic through devotion to a deity, oracles garner strength and power from many sources, namely those patron deities who support their ideals." I would say that it would be chosen at random at each casting of the spell. So a Flame Oracle using Planar Ally would a 50/50 chance of contacting Sarenrae or Asmodeus, or she could get in Zarongel, Brigh, or others if your GM runs a game with an expanded deity list.

Hmm... But I WOULD get a creature that is friendly, and doesnt require any charisma checks right? :D

Of the DM's choice, and it would expect her to cough up some appropriate payment.

Hmm... So if i wants a unicorn to ride around on, my stupid deity (or primal force) might be like "nah, ima give u a Lemure"

Maybe, but whatever ir is ought to be useful and appropriate, as well as helpful.

Work with your GM on this.
