            New posts up!
By the way... how is the adventure going. Are you liking it? do we need to change something?

I am sweating bullets. If this fails to bring him down then Seraph is totally and utterly hosed...
Other then that it was a good fight at least.
Corsario
So far its not bad at all, its my own fault for not crafting her gear along the lines of undead fighting but with Mythic we are able to turn the tide. Cavalier proves to be a bruiser in open areas as expected, had this been underground I would have had much more difficult time fight.
If Venetia were here this fight probably would have ended with her Smiting evil and that awesome sword of hers.
I cannot understate the value of a Legendary Weapon. As it seriously turned the tide in this fight. I have sought more rule references on whether it is a free action to change shape and so far no one else is commenting. James Jacob referred Xi'Tir to the rules forum on that and every Shape Change source I have found is either a Standard (Hat of disguise) or a free action (Shapechange the spell 8/9th level?)...
So yeah...
Bottom line, its been a lot of fun. The positioning has been a bit hard to follow. Like when the Waves of fatigue was cast but it was minor at best. Maps are nice in that aspect but a map for such a possibly short lived battle would have been a waste of time/energy.
I tried not to steal the thunder from the group, if people felt that way it wasn't my intention. Cavalier tends to do that in an open field, mounted battle situation. Thats why I try and make sure that if there is No Room to Charge that Corsario can tell me. As it significantly reduces my damage dealing. However with challenge and the boatload of buffs everyone gave she still turns into a monster. :/
Ride skill continues to vex me, I am in the middle of making permanent [dice][dice] rolls in my profile to speed up combat, its just hard to break everything down with ease. Lots of construction going on as well. So I will try. :)

Venetia has this ability instead of smite evil.
Weal's Champion (Su) Once per day as swift action, a holy tactician can call on the powers of good to aid her against evil. Against evil targets, the holy tactician gains her Charisma bonus (if any) on her attack rolls against evil creatures, and if she hits, she adds 1/2 her paladin level on her weapon damage rolls as well. These bonuses last for 1 round for every two paladin levels the holy tactician has attained (minimum 1 round).
In addition, for 1 round after the holy tactician successfully strikes an evil creature, all non-evil allies within 30 feet of her gain a competence bonus on attack rolls equal to 1/2 her Charisma bonus against that creature as well as a +1 competence bonus on damage rolls. The bonus on damage rolls increases by +1 for every five levels the holy tactician attains (to a maximum of +5 at 20th level). She can grant this bonus against more than one creature at a time. To gain this benefit, the holy tactician's allies must be able to see or hear her, and she must be conscious.
At 4th level, and every three levels thereafter, the holy tactician may use weal's champion one additional time per day (to a maximum of seven times per day at 19th level). This ability replaces smite evil.
Venetia is a level 5 paladin, so it would add 2 damage for 2 rounds, meaning she still can't beat DR on a noncritical hit. That is with her legendary weapon, she would actually do damage with her heavy flail though as it is the correct weapon to bypass DR.

Apologies, I meant nothing in a negative way and forgot your Smite evil was exchanged by the arch class features. My bad there. :/
Still your other ability is awesome. :) In some ways. Again I didn't look closely at your sheet, It was an assumption on my part as you are a paladin and paladin always has smite evil in my mind. xD Glad your back. :D
Happy Halloween to everyone that celebrates it!

I can understand that. :/ I have a hard time with some Archetypes.
Like the Brawlers Strangler Arch is worthless. Wildchild is more fun but Strangler is probably only good for an NPC unless your always fighting things you can grapple easily. :/
A LOT of the cavalier archs are terrible. Huntmaster is fun, so is the beastmaster, but the rest... pass.
Like I said their are some Archs that are way to based on certain encounters or turn you into something that doesn't work. Like cavalier with a gun? Might as well go Gunslinger lol.

Made a lizardfolk brawler (wild child) picked a Queztacautl as my animal companion. Not the most optimal choice but having a flying companion was just plain fun! But I second that Strangler seems cool but you lose to much for being able to just choke people when grappling.
Although having a +14 Grapple and CMD 28 (vs grapple) at lvl 4 was really nasty~

True but regular Brawler is better, IMO. You can just go with a focus on grapple checks and come out ahead, althought I believe the strangulation stacks with your vive archetype sneak attacks. Right?
For you it would compliment you build but building a straight barbarian it was like a monk giving up Flurry for a single attack while grappling. Just a huge lose for a small gain. :/
Also playing a Magus/Alchemist Gestalt. So much fun! Lvl 1 and lucked out on the racial bonus. Exchanged tiefling 1/d spell casting for another +2 int, With Daemon bloodI start at 1st with 22 int and 7/d bombs for a min of 7 damage on a direct hit and for splash damage! Mwahahah Wotr, Wait until I get Holy Bombs!

All kidding aside I can see cultural difference being in play. Her sense of justice or what constitutes good in the world could be completely different from an Andoran. Granted attacking them like that was not a kind or goodly thing to do, but to her she feels that they betrayed Danath from the start and now she is worried he's dead along with her sister.
So I am interested in seeing where it goes from here. However she remains loyal to the kingdom after all. Those men got what they deserved but she is no Queen. She is the Spymaster, The Enforcer of the crown as she needs to be. Those men, were bumps in the long bloody road ahead.

Sorry for the wait, will give Eugene a call and get him to post. He's been rather glued to his new pad as it is a fancy little desktop replacement. Can't play heavy graphics games but he is still interested in playing. Life has just been a bit hectic for us this winter. Blargh.

Prepare for battle!

Corsario, I just skimmed Dovan's Revenge. No hand-waving necessary. It's been about the same amount of game time: a few days including travel times.
Tatiana would dispatch the two lizardfolk with the kobold gifts to continue negotiation.
What troops are left in the capital to accompany Tatiana and Szymon to meet the vanguard of the barbarians? Presumably, refugees arrived into the outskirts of the capital warning our security. They wouldn't strip the capital, but take a nominal escort of a dozen or half-dozen.
cheers
