Replacement Cards

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

I have seen a lot of talk about replacement cards and creating your own cards, etc.

I was wondering how this done. I am a sleever so is there a certain gauge card that players use then insert a printed a pdf scan.

I am pretty new, but keen to use some of the community created content and the card corrections.

I'm just after some ideas on how best to do this.

I just printed the pictures I found on the internet of the first two promo cards, which I don't have and don't have any way of ever getting. I printed them from a color printer at a size of roughly 2.5 x 3.5 inches, then cut them out so they were just a tiny bit smaller than an actual card. Then I put them in sleeves with actual cards that hardly get used, so the back is actually a real card, and won't stand out when sitting on top of a deck, but only the front shows that it's custom printed.

I just recently purchased a Rise of the Runelords Adventure Pack 4 online. I received it in excellent condition however I only received 109 of 110 cards. I am missing one of the five Scenario Cards (Sandpoint Under Seige) Is there any way I can have this one card printed or made, I'd hate to go through the whole return process for just one card. I'd just like to find a way to pick up that one scenario card to complete the deck. Any thoughts or suggestions.

I'd just write to Paizo support. In my experience, they'll accommodate you really fast, if at all possible (RotR stocks may be getting low at this point).

One way to do that is post here: http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizo/customerService

Worked for me.

I'm not quite sure what you mean with gauge card, but let me explain how you can go about this in general.

If your sleeves are transparent on the back side:
In case you play with 4 or less characters and have the character Add-on deck, you can use some of its cards as the backside for the sleeves and slip a printed paper card in front. That's what I do.
Otherwise, if you live in the US and/or don't mind paying some shipping costs, you might order a set of cards from Drivethrucards (more on that below) and use those cards as backsides.

If your sleeves are not transparent on the back, any poker card should be able to get the cards a solid thickness when slipping a printed paper card in front. (I still use Add-On cards here though).

There is a template set for cards over in the community use package as pdf, but it's easier to just go directly to
[url=http://www.drivethrucards.com/builder/pathfinder/type] drivethrucards [\url] if you want to make your own cards. You can also buy cards that other people created, including errata sets from paizo, that are printed like the original cards. Just look around on the start page, I'm sure you will figure it out.

For printing, I found it best to use an image file of the card (whether self made or scanned) and copy it into a text processing programm like Microsoft Word or any of its free deratives. There, you can scale the image to the standard poker size, which is 2.5" x 3.5" or roughly 63.5 mm x 88.9 mm, such that the printing will respect the actual size. In case your sleeves are transparent, it might be best to make it slighty smaller so that the print is covered by the back card completely.
You can fit 9 cards on a DinA4 paper this way for printing.
