I just GM my first module for PFS. Yay! It is the free rpg-day module master of the fallen fortress. After the party made the fortress live up to its namesake, I doled out the xp with one problem:
In the gm events and on the sheets, I gave 2pp for the module AND REPORTED IT SO on the gm events thing which took me forever.
Then I just glanced and the season 5 rules and face-palmed because it states:
The 16-page, Free RPG Day modules are shorter than a normal 32-page module and are more in line with a normal Pathfinder Society Scenario. Currently, these include Master of the Fallen Fortress, We Be Goblins!, Dawn of the Scarlet Sun, and We Be Goblins Too!To bring the Free RPG Day modules more in line with the rest of Pathfinder Society Organized Play, all current and future sanctioned Free RPG Day modules will award 1 XP, 1 PP and the gp amount listed on the Chronicle sheet if using the medium advancement track.
Now what do i do? I am worried about upsetting the players by removing a PP point they expected by my error in the first place, and I also worry about a phantom PP point floating out there in the universe, only to be recalled when a character counts sheets a year from now to play for a character resurrection and gets denied cause "The Fallen Fortress and the New GM Strikes Back."
What do I do?

It's not the end of the world, first of all. It wasn't on purpose so take a breath.
First, you can go back to the event where you reported the table and edit it, even after it's been marked done.
Two, the correct thing to do is contact the players and simply explain the situation. I'm sure being your first time they didn't expect you to get 100% of the rules right. Just ask them to change the sheets to 1pp and fame, and if you can see them again you can even initial next o the change if you want.

could be worse. I don't know how many times I've given out 517 xp on first level chronicles...
HAHAHAHA...
Sorry, couldn't resist. Are you the one responsible for the level 173 character we have around here?!?
Anyways, to the OP, if you reported it, just fix it in reporting (there is an edit button) and let you players know you make a boo boo. They shouldn't bite your head off over a simple mistake...at least I hope not. If you did not report it and a local coordinator did it, ask them to fix it for you...and once again speak with your players. Not really a big deal.

And in the rare case that one of your players throws a hissy-fit and will not accept your apology and explanation, refer them to your local venture officer. If you have none in your area, refer them to Mike Brock, the Campaign Coordinator. He is the person who gets paid to deal with this kind of drama.

Hey, I was at your table! Truly, this is a non-issue for me. I got your follow up email and it didn't even register as a problem. For me it is more important playing this game with friendly folks and having a good time, than accumulating points on a sheet. Please don't let this discourage you from GMing in the future because you did a great job!

I once got over 2000 prestige for a scenario. Wands for everyone! I did of course point it out to the GM who then corrected it. That GM went on to become 5 star... and to think I knew him when he was just a pup!
