I start my freshman year at De Anza College Monday. Studying Computer Science with a Game Design attachment (according to advising, I'd be qualified for both video game designing and general computer science). I'm doing three years here, then hopefully another two at University of California Santa Cruz. Class starts early in the morning with PE, then German language (my minor). After that a really long break, before English/Writing and Elementary Algebra (yea, I was an idiot in High School). All in all I'm pretty excited about it.

UW Madison. Economics. Right now I have Intro East Asian Civilization, First Semester Japanese and Intermediate Microeconomics. The Econ 301 is a b$%!@. Like, the prereq is Calc 1 (Math 211 or 221, I took 221) and we start right off with problem sets requiring Calc 2 (multivariate functions et al). So I'm basically treading water and am crossing my fingers that I can pass with a C.

Well, in serbia you have the University which is the highest form of education and lasts fro four years, and then right below is the higher shcool which lasts 3 years. It's not considered academic studies but let's say expert studies. It tried academics with chemistry and after mulling about for five years i quit and signed up for this. Best decision i ever made.

So it probably is the equivalent of the "Fachhochschule" (or "university of applied sciences" in English).
The education there has a more hands-on approach, I take it?

Just so I'd know there was someone else older than me.
I'm not worried about someone being older than me, I'm more bothered by so many of them being younger. :P

Go with Religious Science (or however Religionsvetenskap is translated into Academia English) at Lund's University. I think a good third of the year I was in were women in the upper middle age who had to take the courses as a basis before going on with the more christianity-specific studies needed to become a priest in the Church of Sweden.

That was my point. I'm 32 and surrounded by teenagers. If TOZ were here with me I wouldn't be the only old guy.

That is pretty much how I felt. I finished my doctorate at 33.

I'll be 34 in less than a month. I know what you meant.
I meant that if I meet someone I enjoy spending time with, chances are they're to young to date. :P

There's no such thing as "too young to date", unless you're talking age of consent.
I mean too young to relate to easily. Too young to have shared in the times and experiences that have shaped my life. Too young to be as likely to have much in common. Too young to get references or jokes.
I will say though, the younger folks are usually alot more accepting of differences, so maybe age gaps shouldn't be too big of a deal.
