Very noobish question: What do I do with the Chronicle Sheet!

Scarab Sages

At the end of my second PFS game, I got a Chronicle Sheet. Second PFS game you ask?! Yep. First one I played, we all died. Was then told my character wasn't good enough to be saved from being thrown into the local river. Not enough frickin' Prestige Points!!
Second game, I survived! (Yeah!)
Got a Chronicle Sheet with gold gained and items found.

What do I do with it all?
Can I sell all the items I can't use? (Magic stuff, seeing as I'm a simple Fighter!) Or can I bring it to the next game and give it to another player/character who can?
Can I buy stuff with the gold and just deck myself out in all the best stuff my character can handle?

With all that GP, it's like my character is a kid in a bloody lollie shop! (Candy store to some:)

The GP listed in the box on the right is how much you get. The items listed are things you can buy. Page 35 of the Guide goes over the chronicle sheet breakdown (from the GM side, but it should give some insight as to what everything means from your end.)

But the sheet states:

"Items Found During This Scenario".
If they're found, why do I need to buy them? And from who!
This makes no sense.

The gear listed on the chronicle sheet isn't stuff you now have, but rather stuff you can now buy for the listed price, without worrying about Fame limits. Normally, your total Fame puts a cap on how expensive of an item you can buy (although the cap is usually high enough you won't have to worry about it). You should definitely check out the Guide to Organized Play for details about that.

The in character reasoning for why it works the way it does is those are items you brought back to the pathfinder lodge and turned over to the venture captain, the venture captain then gave the group gold equal to the value of those items that was shared by the group. You can now buy those items back from the venture captain if you want, but this way everyone gets their share of the loot.

The "Items Found During This Scenario" is a list of items that were found...and then sold and split to the party to make up the gold acquired.

Normally, with only 1 or 2 PP from your first scenario, you would be limited to buying things that are always available. You can't buy miscellaneous magical items until you have 5 PP, and then you're limited to items 500gp or lower. The items that are listed on the chronicle sheet are an exception to this. Since you "found" one of them during one of your adventures, you now may purchase it from your faction if you wish, avoiding the prestige requirement.

Firstly: Wonderful name, lovin' it.

Secondly: You should have gotten a chronicle for your first PFS session also stating 0gp, 0XP, and 1 or 0 PP depending on season number to show that a character participated in said scenario.

Thirdly: Yes, check out the guide. Its not as big as it seems and should answer all your questions. That and its free!

The thing is the sheet in the Guide looks nothing like the sheet I was given, which comes from the scenario itself.
It clearly states "Items Found During This Scenario". That does not appear on the Chronicle Sheet in the Organised Play guide.
The closest it comes to this is referenced below:
"Step 7: Cross out any treasure items the party didn’t find
in the scenario and mark any special boons the players
did or did not earn (U); additionally, if you’re running the
lower subtier, always cross out all of the items listed for the
higher subtier. Return the Chronicle sheet to the player."
This states nothing about purchasing the items, just crossing the stuff we didn't find.

Linkage to the guide, for ease!

Like others said above, the list of "Items Found" is what your whole team found, and were turned in for treasure. The game needs to do it this way to be fair. Otherwise, who out of the 6 people in the party gets the sword of awesome you all found?

To make it fair, the sword of awesome gets sold and the gold split evenly. Then, any players wanting to get the sword of awesome can do so by buying it with their own gold. I know it breaks the "feel" of an RPG a bit, but it is part of the nuances of an Organized Campaign.

Hard details are in the guide though, it's a good read!

The sheet given there is a Season 5 sheet. Each scenario comes with its own chronicle sheet, and the sheet has evolved as time has gone on. Do you know what season of scenario you were playing? Or the name of the scenario (should be on chronicle sheet)?

Hey Colour, for the guide, you are looking for Page 21, "Step 3: Spoils of War and Buying Equipment"

"Tide of Morning"

Thanks for the help everyone.
I won't look so starry eyed at all the goodies next time!

(Mmm ... 546 GP! What can one buy with such riches?)

To name a few...

Chalk, Alchemist's Fire, Rope, Potions of CLW, Rope, weapons, Rope, armor, Rope, candles, Rope, and BACON (sometimes if the GM is nice).

Oh, also everyone needs rope.

And if you're a fighter, I'd pick up a masterwork weapon.

Thanks for the advice!

Will definitely be buying bacon! Always thought it would come in handy.

Chronicle Sheets associated with permanently dead characters can either be kept for sentimental value or thrown away. They can not be used for any other character. The scenarios in question, are still counted as "played" for the player.

For the second chronicle sheet, i highly recommend a 3 ring binder to hold your character sheet, inventory sheet, and what is hopefully your soon to be growing collection of chronicles.

For the first, i suggest folding it into the shape of a viking boat, setting it on a body of water and setting it alight,

Eating it (alongside the said bacon you purchased from the second sheet, of course) is also acceptable.
