Never read the novels... SAW THE MOVIE! First, everyone who ever reads this this thread go watch Remo Williams, the Adventure Begins (one of the greatest pieces of cinema to emerge from the 80's). I'll wait...
...
Done? Ok, so based on that, I say Ninja/Monk
Ninja?
...NINJA?!
SILENCE, WHITE THING. The lowly ninja, like too many others, had the temerity to steal the rudiments of Sinanju from a Master. He was amused by their inept flailings, and permitted them to live so long as they and all their heirs swore to conceal their shame with masks whenever they were about their crude attempts at assassination and infiltration.
(Also, despite some brilliant performances, the movie was marred by (a) a villain who the REAL Remo would finish off in the second chapter of a novel before proceeding to deal with the true threat, and (b) the inexplicable casting of Wilford Brimley in a role that should have gone to Ben Stein.)

I watched the movie the other day, when I saw it on netflixs. I forgot how funny it was. I was inspired to make Chiun. What you say 10th level Monk/ 10th level ninja. we all know he is beyond this as his unarmed strike don't even have to actually touch you. Point and your arm pops out the socket. Master of many styles monk archtype or basic monk?

Heh, I remember the books from way back when they first got published. They were absolutely hilarious at first, before people started taking them seriously as martial arts literature. They were originally a deliberate spoof of martial arts stories, but ended up becoming part of the genre.
Chiun from the books I read before I got tired of them would credibly be approximated by a monk 10/ninja 10.
He would be a fun character to role play, if I role played characters from literature.

FTR, I wouldn't say Chiun is Mythic. Yes, he's a high level Monk/Ninja (or something like that).
REMO, on the other hand, IS mythic. Though for him, it seems like his Mythic Nature only showed up every few books or so, when he did his "I am created Shiva, the Destroyer... (etc)" and then proceeded to kill the hell out of whoever had done something bad enough for him to invoke Shiva.
