Ranger combat style feats.

Rules Questions

If I dip two levels of Ranger to get the combat style, can I still choose the other "first tier" feats with other feats, from other classes?

As long as you meet the prerequisites, yes.

EDIT TO ADD:

I'm assuming that the ranger feats also meet the requirements for feats you get from other classes. For fighter bonus feats, that's okay, but that's not true for Wizard bonus feats which aren't compatible with the ranger combat style feats.

What is a first tier feat?

You can't spend your bonus feat slots on them, if that's what you're asking, just your normal "every odd level' slots.

Graeme- no, you don't have to meet the prerequisite.

Krodjin- the ones you get at 1st level from the combat style. You gain additional ones to choose from at 6th, but I'm not taking 6 levels.

LazarX- So, I CAN use my character-advancement feats to take the combat te feats, even if I don't meet any prerequisites?

At 2nd level you get a Combat Style Feat.

This is a Feat chosen from a list of Feats provided, and at that level you may choose one of those Feats to acquire without prerequisites.

All of the Feats on that list are regular Combat Feats. So, yes, you can take them with your normal character progression Feats. You just have to meet the prerequisites for them in that case.

Ok what if I multiclass at lvl 6 would I still get the combat style feat

Only the specific "Combat Style" feat slot allows you to ignore prerequisites. For example if you chose Archery style you could take Rapid Shot at level two without needing to meet the requirement of Point Blank Shot and Dex 13, but if at level 3 you wanted to take Precise Shot you would not be able to unless you already had Point Blank Shot.

@dilligaf: If you mean you are Ranger 5 and then X 1, then no you will not get the Combat Style feat. That requires you to be Ranger 6.

Sovereign Court

Ok than. Thought so but wanted to by sure.

I would still get to pick a normal feat still for being lvl 6 right

Normal feats are at every odd level - none granted at 6.
