I just returned from PAX, while I was there I stopped in to checkout Pathfinder. Ended up consuming a lot of my time and completed 5 RPGs and 1 card game. In doing so I earned a mask, figurine, and a piece of paper that describes the boon that I was awarded for my effort.

A couple questions, how do boons work? Can I add them to my profile or do I just keep the piece of paper I was given and show it to the DM each time I go to an event?

Two, I need to know how to hookup with a local group of Pathfinder players, I really enjoyed it and would like to head over to more official events.

on boons , hopefully it is signed, and you should keep with the character
you apply it to. I dont know if it can be used for all your characters.

Welcome to Pathfinder Society and glad you had fun at PAX.

How do boons work? Boons do not get added to your profile but they do get added to your character. Once you complete the top section of the boon sheet, it is assigned to the character. Any chronicle sheets, including boons, should stay with your character each time you play or if a GM wants to review your character to insure you are not missing anything related to you character.

On the question of connecting with a local group. In the Pathfinder Society section of this site in the gray bar at the top of the page, you will find events. If you click on events, you will find a listing of events sorted by location. The event details can be seen by clicking on the event name. The event should provide instructions on how to sign up and specific location.

great info and help, I was able to located a local pathfinder society and signed up on warhorn and was then able to email the captain...now just waiting to hear back from them.

I think I will spend the rest of my morning reading the core rulebook and learning how the create a character to apply my boon too, since I used a premade for PAX
