Golarion and why I love the inclusive NPCs Pazio has made.

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I decided to start this thread to talk about how great I think Pazio is in making their campaign setting inclusive to many different kinds of folk...in a way I don't think atleast is 'political or anything like that.

So I created this threwad so we can discuss some of the great NPCs Pazio has made...and maybe even suggest some.

Please any discussing against Pazio policy of inclusiveness is off topic for this thread...and will flag them as such. This about in world Golarion Canon...not about Pazio policy. If you want to dicuss that issue I would suggest going to Pazio Product sub forum.

I grew up among a wide variety of races and ethnicities, and continue to have friends and acquaintances in countries around the world. I really like that almost all are available in Pathfinder and described fairly well - definitely much better than in any other RPG I've seen.

I like what Paizo has done in it's inclusiveness, but I don't really consider it that much more than what I'd expect from any world setting of that scope. Golarion certaintly does not have Talislanta or Toril beat out in that aspect.

Question: Who is this Pazio guy the OP is talking about?

*ducks for cover*

I agree that is why I kinda of like it. I really don't get the sense of tokenism from them. And I am sure Talislanta is the same way....Toril well before 4th ed(I did not follow it though there was some very ugly signs in that regard) I know was like. And I am sure their are other campaign setting that do the same.

I really appreciate it, and I really appreciate the fact that James and everyone have gone out of their way to reaffirm their commitment to representation.

I'm really happy with what Paizo is doing with Golarion in terms of representing cultures. Though some of the parallels with real world culture may seem overly similar, I'd rather have carbon copies of underexposed cultures than another planet of medieval caucasians.

Don't mind me, I'm just going to set up camp in this thread. Good vibes here.

I've heard mixed things about Toril's representation, including some animosity over how Mazitca was done. But then again, I pretty much don't know anything about Forgotten Realms except there are drow and the Underdark.

Anyways, I agree with OP and I can't wait for Arcadia.

I'm just glad that there are heroic and positive role models. They don't seem that important if you grew up with a multitude, but you do notice when they're missing.

Yay Paizo!

Can we get a mixed gender squad of scantily dressed cheerleaders in this thread to celebrate? ;)

I would join, but court-order says I have to wear pants in public now :(
