Help with Skill Focus Feat

This is going to be one of the most mundane questions posted here, but I just gotta ask it!

The Skill Focus feat states:
You can gain this feat multiple times. Its effects
do not stack. Each time you take the feat, it applies to a
new skill.

Does this mean that my character can only use this feat 'per skill' once? ie. My character can't use this feat on the Stealth skill, then the Perception skill, then back to the Stealth skill.
It can only be used on Skill(1), Skill(2)....Skill(n) and that's it?

Correct, one skill per use, also know that the differant knowledges, crafts, and professions count as differant skills for this.

Just to clarify:

If you choose Skill Focus (Stealth), it always adds to your Stealth skill... it's not just for one roll and then it's gone forever.

So if you took Skill Focus (Stealth) and Skill Focus (Perception), it would add a permanent +3 to both of those skills.

But you could not take Skill Focus (Stealth) twice on the same character to get +6 on that skill.

That makes more sense!

You're saying I can apply it once per skill, but it's there throughout the campaign.

Can I still change it during the campaign?

When you choose that feat, you pick one particular skill to associate it with. You then always have a +3 to that skill for the rest of the time that character exists.

It's like there's actually a dozen different feats with similar names:

Skill Focus(Acrobatics)
Skill Focus(Bluff)
Skill Focus(Climb)
etc.

and you can only take each one once. When you take that feat, it gives that skill a permanent bonus.

Correct, you get that +3 to that skill throughout the entire campaign.

No, once you choose a skill for the feat, it's permanently assigned to that skill. Like how you can't change your race, you can't say "my Skill Focus (Perception) feat is now Skill Focus (Stealth)."
