Reincarnating a druid companion

First off is it possible to Reincarnate a druid companion?
Second the companion the druid wants to reincarnate is a large scorpion would the fact that it is a vermin make a difference if he can reincarnate it?

The spell specifies 'target: creature' and makes provisions for non-humanoid creatures, suggesting to me that it is possible. I'd imagine the GM would probably have you choose from some subset of the animal companion list.

"Constructs, elementals, outsiders, and undead creatures can't be reincarnated."

No issue with large scorpion.

I don't see any reason the reincarnation would not be successful. I concur with GM Arkwright that as the GM I'd probably restrict the possible reincarnation options to those animals on the existing companion list.
