Got the funds to create a clan, thanks to those in the Dwarf lands! Thanks Kodakhan Hammerhand, Urman Urmanson, Gaskon Silverpate, Pino Bloodaxe, and Lucas Silvertusk.
Now we need a motto (100 characters) and charter (200 characters). Taking any suggestions.
Name
Goblin Squad
Motto (100 characters) Need some help here.....
Proposed Charter (187 characters)
A band of goblins united in preparation for an invasion of the River Kingdoms! Only as an organized goblin clan can we prepare to hone the skills needed for survival. Goblin Squad Unite!

I searched for some goblin sayings and the re is one that came up a few times, a little poem that ends ...We be goblins and you be food!"
Here are a few submissions for a motto (under 100 characters):
Emissaries from the Goblin Kingdom
Growing like a wart on a witch’s nose
Teeth and bites come in small packages
Goblin Squad Unite! (Used here instead of in charter)
Goblin Squad Untie! (Funny suggestion)
Need some help here.... (inadvertent, but seemingly popular)
Darkfall server has been up and down, so still taking suggestions. Off work all day Thursday, 22 AUG, I'll check back several times.

Found this on a online game forums. The whole thing is 373 characters.
Goblins chew and goblins bite.
Goblins cut and goblins fight.
Stab the dog and cut the horse,
Goblins eat and take by force!
Goblins race and goblins jump.
Goblins slash and goblins bump.
Burn the skin and mash the head,
Goblins here and you be dead!
Chase the baby and catch the pup.
Bonk the head to shut it up.
Bones be cracked, flesh be stewed,
We be goblins! You be food!
This part is 61.
Goblins chew and goblins bite.
Goblins cut and goblins fight.
This part is 62.
Bones be cracked, flesh be stewed,
We be goblins! You be food!
Surely we can do something with this!

The Goblin Song is originally from "Rise of the Runelords", which is the first adventure path for the D&D / Pathfinder roleplaying game published by Paizo.
It sort of laid out the differences between "Paizo Goblins" and previous D&D goblins, who were little more than punching bags.
Goblin Song is lore from Golarion, so is very appropriate for our group.

+1 for some variation on The Goblin Song; proposal:
Motto:
Bones be cracked, flesh be stewed,
We be goblins! You be food!
Charter:
Goblins chew and goblins bite.
Goblins cut and goblins fight.
Stab the dog and cut the horse,
Goblins eat and take by force!goblinworks.com
In any case, I'd like to run it by Paizo first to make sure that they are OK with us adapting their IP to a new purpose.

I'm comfortable using excerpts from the song even without an official "okay" from someone at Paizo.
We're not profiting from it, we're using only a portion of the larger work, and the entire Darkfall clan will be a walking advertisement for PFO and other paizo products.
If you're really concerned about possible copyright infringement, put quotes around it and cite the source.

My vote is yes.
I would suggest that we be a little respectful that it is another game that we are entering and another game we are coming from and representing, in a way. They do talk terrible smack about any and all games in the general chat, but I hope that we (as a group) can keep some lid on that too.
I do see that we only have a year, or so, and we need to really be focused to get to the point that we can gleam the most from this. Let's play Darkfall, like Darkfall, but with some class. :)

Andius did a pretty good sales job on his Darkfall friend when he introduced us last night. I could hear enough interest in LordZanuul's voice to know he'll give PFO a look.

I am planning on creating the clan tonight (Thursday evening) if we get the go on charter and motto. I have a few questions for Andius, or anyone else who may know that has experience in Darkfall:
(1) When setting up a new clan it asks for "Races you accept"? Are there any racial issues, likes races at war that would cause members to automatically be hostile towards one another if all races are accepted (I prefer no filter on that, all accepted)?
(2) There are options to define your clan's activities and interests including General, Hardcore, Casual, Crafting, Roleplay, PvE, PvP, Conquest. I am leaning against putting "Hardcore" in there in case that word has a "taint" due to the greifing and ganking. I don't want someone reading the Clan info screen to assume we are a gank squad if it says "Hardcore". Any feedback there?
(3) After creation, how difficult is the interface setting up Clan ranks, duties, divisions, guild bank permissions, etc? EVE has a robust interface for corporations but the interface really sucked imho. There was so much going on in every screen it was hard to tell what you were telling the program. I don't want clan management to be a fulltime gig, but it might become that.
(4) How many divisions can be created, and which ones have proven most effective in DF? I'm thinking Finance, Materials (harvesting and crafting), Construction and Repair (for a keep, once planned), Training (especially important early on), Intelligence (PvP and PvE mapping, scouts, terrain, monsters, etc...)
Additions anyone?

Concur on the 'Hardcore': it makes us seem unapproachable and many (not all) of those attracted by that word should be scrutinized for loose nuts and screws.
I rather liked the 'Need some help here..." motto, but I'm in it for the team.
Just a footsoldier here: I'll leave the politics to the generalists.

OK,all here we go!
I posted the clan info just as Decius has above, except for "goblinworks.com" since I found the flowing in the ToS:
"You may not market, promote, advertise, or solicit within the Game, the World or on the official Darkfall Unholy Wars online web sites."
There is a copyright thingy also. But many of the ToS are flagrantly violated in other clan names (vulgar, trademarks, names of living people or gods/deities, etc...).
Join the Goblin Squad clan!
We are open for business!!

I'm in, Being is in, I was about to invite Nihimon when it crashed again. Apparently there is no way to remotely invite someone to the clan...I find that hard to believe, but I can't find an "Invite to Clan" except in the personal trade window. I'll keep looking, but be patient. The clan admin page is large, as I feared. Good for clans, but for whoever has to learn to use THAT interface too. But, I'll start on it and give permissions to members to invite as soon as possible.
Any volunteers for department managers please raise your hand. Looking for:
Training
Finance
Materials
Construction and Repair
Intelligence
Also need squad leaders for party activities involving combat so groups can learn to work as a team.

Woke up for a few...couldn't resist posting real quick. Had fun after the clan was created. Being was the first new member and once he got the UI figured out a little he was hard pressed to leave the zombie killing area...he was a zombie killing machine! Where'd those lightning bolts come from? They were everywhere! And all that after a 5 km run through hostile PvP territory filled with Centaurs, Brownies and Ogres. Being seemed like he was having fun!
Eventually Nihimon, Blaeringr, Pino, Bringslite, Mbando and several others were all adding loot to the clan vault (go to the bank and hold down "F" key and the clan vault option appears) and it was filling up pretty quickly. Whoever is working cloth I have piles of cotton in my bank. I thought I would, but I'll just gather for a while and build prowess, I need that live-giving link thing Andius mentioned for Primalists so I'll save up for now.
Okay, so we are having some fun. The defaults on clan management do not allow raw recruits to invite so the first several members were given permissions to invite new players to the clan, and to add and take items from clan vault. So far so good. Since this is a PFO test group to see what hostile group combat and team building is about my assumption is we will bring PFO posters and other prospective PFO players to the clan. I don't want to get caught up in clan espionage (that will be a real threat in PFO, like in EVE) but I think we are trying to reach out to as many PFOers and PF players and Paizo interested parties as we can, since we are kinda being supported (at least morally supported) by Ryan, as I expect he will eventually jump in as well. Bring in new players and I'll work on clan management, but let's share the knowledge and experience as broadly as possible without is getting out of control. This is a controlled test and we don't want rampaging killers all over the world of Agon.
Speaking of clan management, their clan management system has the following categories of management slots for control, and there are several we will need to share, as it's far too much for one person:
Clan Management (I can do this unless someone else wants to do so , of help)
Clan Administration (Some held would be appreciated.)
Clan Membership and Recruiting (We can all do this, but do we want to reach out to many groups in the land rush poll?)
Clan Vault Permissions (I can do this as well... )
Clan Politics (Diplomatic Corps)
Clan Conquest (Seige Control, Gate Control)
Clan City Management (Every city needs separate Mayor)
Materials Not a listed clan job, but essential to keep raw materials flowing.
Intelligence Need to know what is around, who is where (the big map has loads of info, but boots on the ground are priceless).
Many of these need not be decided now, but knowing preferences early would be helpful. No rush.
Gathering and crafting I strongly recommend each of us goes deep and not wide. I blew a lot of prestige points a little bit on a lot of skills, but should have done a lot of a few skills or banked them for a while, as new skills cost 500, 1000, or 10,000 prowess. That's lot, so spend them carefully.
See Nihimon's list above. (Still need someone to craft animal figurines, staves, siege equipment, but don't know the rules on siege yet.) Choose something you enjoy and go for it. We can all gather and will likely soon start pushing outside of the safe areas. Curious what Andius will tell us about "friendly areas"...
Forming a clan council might not be a bad idea. Policies about outreach, player management/reward/punishment (for real problems), goal setting, map review and planning, stuff like that. Let's see how organized we can get by say next weekend.
A few goals for August 31st:
(1) Clan Vault has 100,000. Right now we have about 2500. If the goal is too crazy high, we can adjust it.
(2) Every member has new upgraded gear. (We might be here already.)
(3) Everyone has a crafting specialty and can make solid tier 1 or tier 2 goods.
Where can we work and post as a clan. I don't want PFO boards muddied up forever, so a clan home would be nice, but updates here would be a good idea (I think).

A proper mix of crafters is going to require a mix if working as a team to advance some people faster, but not relying on any one crafter so heavily that we can't function without them.
The more essential an item, the more people we need who can craft it. That being said, cooks are super important. We need more cooks.

I've been focusing on cloth armor and staves with a bit of alchemy.
I found that a stack of 66 elemental dust lasts about half an hour of heavy casting, so every caster should try and get into alchemy. Everyone not doing alchemy, please put any mandrake and sulphur you get in the clan bank. Elemental Dust is what powers our spells: it is like ammunition. There appears to be at least one higher tier spell component as well that uses 'nacre', which can be obtained fishing. Mandrake is found harvesting herbs and sulphur I believe is from harvesting either stone or metal, possibly both. Essenses needed for higher end gear comes most often from 'skinning' humanoid gravestones.
We will also be needing various essences for advanced tier gear is being crafted.
If the clan will be building we should accumulate stone, even though we haven't yet to my knowledge figured out how to work that stone.
Also there is a cooking skill. Not sure how beneficial it is but those lizards-on-a-stick the imps drop seemed to have a slight beneficial effect. I know some fish are heavier than stone, so stow your bass and cod in the bank so that when someone decides to cook there will be mats to level him or her with.

Speaking of clan management...
I'm having little luck learning to use the GUI in combat so far; I tend to over-think and over-analyse everything, which makes muscle-memory hard to develop (yes, I'm a terrible driver). I'm also uncertain as-yet what hours I'll be routinely available to group.
I'll be glad, however, to perform any clan functions you'd like me to, especially in the off-line tracking or analysis categories, or anything we need in-game from a safe area.

@Hardin Steele, fantastic job setting goals.
I'm happy to help with Clan Administration.
I'm also happy to work on managing the Materials, keeping them organized in the Clan Bank, and identifying when we're running low.
I would propose a Forum on The Seventh Veil's site as a neutral site, but I realize some folks might not view it that way, and wouldn't mind using PFOFan.com.

I can't get into PFOfan. Says "User is blocked" but doesn't have any Help or Contact Us, whoever us is.
Send a PM here on the PFO Forums to Dakcenturi. He manages PFOFan.com and should be able to get you cleared up.
Also, I expect he wouldn't mind us sharing the password with you as long as we don't publicly post it somewhere or share it with folks who aren't even making an effort to get registered on PFOFan.com.

It is a bleak place to be sure. I think the River Kingdoms will be a much happier place to live in than Agon (why do so many MMO worlds begin with an A?).
If there is a consensus to go elsewhere, we can do that. Forty bucks is a few fast food meals anymore so if you guys want to bail pick the nex one. I'm here til EE unless the group moves on.
(I have to admit, sometimes I have to pay the $8.50 for a Bacon double bacon burger combo with extra bacon sauce. You just can't get enough bacon!)
