Okay, so I'm curious in regards to this feat. For humanoid undead would they still fall under charm person? Or would all undead fall under charm monster? (same for hold or dominate effects?)
I have a character I'm leveling in an adventure path that is an enchanter and I'm planning to pick this feat up eventually regardless but I'm not sure what level of spells would be needed to target what?
Thanks for any help.

Charm monster affects humanoid creatures. Creature immune to mind affecting are immune to this charm. This would mean a 8th level Paladin is immune despite being a humanoid (more than likely a humanoid). A Tiefling would also be immune at creation as they are not humanoid.
I wont say all because I'm not 100% certain, but most undead do not also possess the humanoid subtype. So they are not at all a valid target of charm person if they're not humanoid, whether or not thredonic spell metamagic allows you to ignore the immunity to mind affecting.
So, you would need charm monster as it isn't limited to humanoids and thredonic spell to charm an undead. This would require a 5th level spell for a wizard or sorcerer.

A threnodic spell affects undead creatures (even mindless undead) as if they weren't immune to mind-affecting effects, but has no effect on living creatures.
The feat doesn't say that they affect undead creatures no matter what. Only that they ignore the immunity to mind-affecting effects. So it would still be immune due to being the wrong creature type (undead instead of humanoid).
