The Shield Slam feat gives you a free bull rush when you shield bash. Is that free bull rush performed with your shield.

I'm curious as to why this would matter.

Well, I hope that why it matters does not influence your answer. Nonetheless, I will tell you why it matters.

Normally bull rush is not performed with a weapon. However, that is normally. I saw a blog post by Sean that said that there are times when a bull rush is performed with a weapon.

He did not state in the blog when that time was. I suspect he was talking about shield bash, but I am not sure.

Yes it does. you add you weapon focus and Enhacement bonus to that bull rush.

Thank you. I suspected that was the answer, but was not sure.

Am I also correct that generally a bull rush is not performed with a weapon?

I assumed that was the actual question. As I see it, it doesn't matter, since you're neither rolling nor recalculating; the result of your attack roll is also the result for your bull rush.

You know I think the shield slam might be the only type of bull rush typically performed with a weapon. You get to use the roll that successfully hit for the bull rush determination too when it triggers. Shield slam is a really nice capability, especially if you get to greater bull rush also

There is also the impact weapon property.
